I play evey Sunday morning (around 9h30) at Swift Creek Elem School with some friends. You're more than welcome to join us. The only rule there is to play fair. Most of us are Brazilians, but we suck

I actualy wouldn't mind playing. I love watching it but I've never played it so I'd be a true novice. I'm really athletic and have very good reactions so I'd pick it up quick though I'm sure..

If any of you guys want to play, just let me know, because sometimes we don't have enough players.
So far, I have only 3 people confirmed for this Sunday. If we have only 8-10 people, we'll play mini-soccer. If we don't have at least 8 people, we won't play. We will also try to play earlier (9am), because there's a Brazil game at noon.

i need to buy some soccer cleats, the only good pair i have are baseball cleats

are shin guards and socks a good idea for pick up games?

No one's going to be slide tackling you or anything in pickup, but it wouldn't hurt to wear them, either. It's all preference. I hate shin guards, so I wear the smallest ones possible even when I play goal, and usually none for pickup.
