The awesome catch, and a good article about how he's picked up some speed:

http://www.cbc.ca/cp/football/060919/f091972.html
Quote :
"..."Jerricho's play was spectacular," fellow wide receiver Laveranues Coles said. "We had to rewind it four or five times (Monday) just to look at it. It shows a lot of manhood that he has, for him to stand in there and make that catch and take that hit and have the whereabouts to keep his knees off the ground and get up and run for a touchdown." ...

...Cotchery worked on his agility and balance at the Athletes' Performance Institute in Tempe, Ariz., in February. He then improved his speed while training with Jets strength and conditioning coach Markus Paul. Cotchery said his time in the 40-yard dash was in the high-4.4s out of college and in the mid-4.5s last season, but he entered camp this summer in the low-4.4s.

"Last year, I was nowhere near that," he said. "This off-season was the fastest I've ran..."

i just acquired K-Rob as well

if i'm dominating the league late in the season, i'm going to try and pawn off somebody for Holt, and have an all-Wolfpack pitch and catch crew

^importance of play comes into the judging

for example, vince young's td was a higher position, not necessarily because it was a better more athletic play, but because it won a game in OT

not to downplay J-CO's
that was strait nasty

Yeah it's just Stuart Scott hating on State. I wish Cotchery would run into him and let him know what's up, haha.

I almost wish he'd have struggled this year and got shipped to SD after River's insistence on him being picked up, haha.

^ Seriously?

What's the point of it? I could see if it was 'Splitfire Sparkplugs Stadium' or something... but isn't that Gillette Stadium? For the longest time I thought it was a really shitty drawing of a razor or something

^^ Gillete is branching out to sparkplugs, coffee filters, and greeting cards. Guess they are just getting some product placement in for the big games

The sound quality for this game on CBS is pretty bad. It sounds like a high school football game.

i thought it was funny that aikman and the other guy were commentating on how "quick" cotchery is when that was his biggest knock entering the league.

I always thought that his best assest was the feet

He can cut routes extremely well, and he is hard to tackle

for me, his best asset is that he isn't afraid to get hit. he was money for us over the middle, and he is money for the jets over the middle. that was one of the reasons they drafted him. chrebet, a guy who made his money going across the middle, was in the twilight of his career, and the jets needed a replacement.

and you're right about his route running. all of our recent wide receivers in the nfl have a reputation of being crisp route runners.

The Chargers need a good route runner like Cotchery who can get open over the middle. Eric Parker is like a poor man's Cotch, and McCardell is just old, man.
