Im sorry, but just look at what they wear.....until the last season of TNG, they looked like my sister could kick their asses.

Armor in SW>>>>Spandex in Star Trek.

^^yea in all fairness some of the crappier episodes do push the boundaries a little bit but nothing compared to the force

I guess that makes me a weird one, then.

But I concur that "too into" is a boundary. If you own a costume from either, that's a little extreme.

^^ it your woman is shallow and buys into stereotypes

from a viewing standpoint:
- star trek allows deeper character development and really had some great thought invoking episodes (like the episode about data's rights) but star wars has cooler special effects and more action (obi-wan kicks ass). I think i would miss star trek more than i would miss star wars.

in a head-to-head fight:
star trek would kick some major ass, they would just modulate the deflector dish to produce some killer beam that would fux0r everyone (and the borg would assimilate the jedi and make the entire collective force sensitive)

^ i don't have a costume, but I do own 100+ star wars books and all 7 seasons of TNG and currently netflixing voyager

I'm not sure what's nerdier- that you have them or that you've counted them.

^^ nope

i'll agree that some people go overboard with star trek & star wars, but the same shit happens with people who can't stop watching mtv, the shit on that channel is just stupid

yes in a few episodes, they dont explain some stuff....but for 99% of TNG, its a true statement, wheras star wars is based on magic

They're just different. They both have appeal, and for different reasons. We're talking apples and oranges, here.
Firefly pwns all, though.

Yea kaylee was completely believable a propulsion engineer. rollgasm of the ocular orbit.

BSG is the runner up to TNG, ...becuase all human technology isnt sci fi. cept light drive.

Or maybe it would have if enough people liked it to let it have another season. Oops.

For now, TNG, Star Wars and BSG remain my top contenders. I think SW edges the other two out by a nose.

if star trek = science

then everything in starwars was legitimized by the presence of midochloreans or whatever

Keep in mind these are the same people who cancelled Family Guy. And the Firefly season DVDs are still in the Amazon top twenty-five (last I checked, which was recently), and it came out a couple years ago.

Anyway, between SW and ST, I think I like the roughness of the SW world. Though I would have sex with Data and Geordie. At the same time. Jean Luc could come too.

The more time I spend on StarDestroyer.net, the more I'm convinced that the Empire would pwn the Federation.

But that must mean I suck Mike Wong's dick.
