this is ridiculous for a summer class in my opinion....freakin 4 books to buy and then lec a day plus one on Sat....

I have only watched 3 lecs....going to play catch up today and rest of this week 'til my test on Friday morning........

man i cant imagine this class distance ed, she said so much and i took so many notes per class...if i had to watch a dvd of that it would be rough

haw. don't know about you distance ed kids, but Parker's test was ridiculously easy. Ancient religion compare/contract FTW!

I must be a dumbass!!!!! cause I thought his test was actually prety hard.....I dont think I did very well on the first exam.

Has anyone gotten there test 1 grades back??

parker said that he mails us the graded tests. i took my test 1 on the 17th, two weeks ago and havent gotten it back yet. i have a feeling he is out of the country right now based on how his emails are coming in...

i got my grade back on friday, a week after the test.

make sure your address on TRACS is right, and call him if thats the case

i didnt really like how we went through rome as quick as we did...it seemed like that last week was a rush from test 2 to test 3

Yeah, i'm still preparing for the 2nd test on Friday!

And I also, just found out that I have to take the Final early becuase all graduating seniors have to have there grades posted by Aug. 10.

Not looking forward to this week but just trying to keep in mind that when its over I'll be done for a while.......

How did you all think Test 2 went?

I took Test 1 a week ago yesterday becuase I was outta the country and still haven't got my test back yet either. trying to get a C for this class but not sure how feasible that is.....I'm not a very strong writer and memorization skills are not too great either

i wish i hadn't done this distance ed. i am waaay behind in the lectures. has anyone gotten to the lecture w/ details a/b the final? i looked at the study guide, but it didnt say how many essays there will be. does anyone know?

if you really LOOKED at the study guide, you can tell there will be 2 essays

one on the roman section

and one thats comprehensive, comparing different aspects of the three sections we studied

I definately agree!!! this is a hard ass class! I wish I had the skills you do with this class okydoky. I'm not doing very well at all in this class....its giving me a hard time.

All i wanna do is get a C in it to pass the course and get my EE degree.

Does anyone know how willing Dr. Parker is about these kinds of situations? I know other prof. have given grades to help students in situations like myself.

I just wanna get outta the class and be done with college at this point you know?? Any help is greatly appreciated!

it sounds like you are over reacting...just study your ass off, write as much information as you can, and you should pass the class with a c...atleast

yeah the study guide and reviewing the primary sources, just like the first test. personally i thought the second test had a more straightforward essay question... but i haven't gotten my grade back so i can't really say...

yea, i think the final was def. the easiest test of the 3. if you've kept up with reading/lecures throughout the course, it will be a piece of cake. just review primary sources to have them fresh in your mind for citing.

i'd say maybe a 4 out of 10 on the scare scale, the first test usually makes it easier to figure out how to study for tests 2 and 3

plus the first test is more lenient

test 2 is the hardest
