To be fair, Atlanta should get to the Final before any other SE team wins the Cup.

P.S. If JR signs John Grahame I'm cancelling my tickets.

Pronger will be a Ranger courtesy of the Edmonton <-> New York pipeline.

Lowe has to be tired of moderatly successful Czechs coming from the Rangers (Nedved, Dvorak) I could see Prucha fitting that mold all too well.

93rd overall pick

Quote :
"Harrison Reed, RW
Team: Saginaw Spirit
Height: 6’0.5 Weight: 178 lbs. Shoots: R – Final CSS ranking: 71st

After a cup of coffee with the London Knights last season, Harrison Reed found the full pot in Sarnia much more to his liking and he responded with a breakout rookie season.

Reed played a handful of games with the Knights during the run-up to the Memorial Cup. After six scoreless regular season games and four playoff contests where he netted a total of one assist, Reed moved down the 402 to Sarnia, the Knight’s long-time rivals, and started filling the net. Reed finished the season with 26 goals and 24 assists for the Sting, but in part due to the team’s poor performance, he still finished the season with a -31 plus/minus rating.

The 6’0, 178-pounder still has some growing to do, but his ability to fill the net bodes well for his long-term prospects. Playing on a bad team Reed was a standout on the ice, even though he had to fight through extra attention from opposing forwards. His prowess in the offensive zone is noted, as is his strength on his skates, and his nose for the puck. However defensive deficiencies can’t be denied and Reed doesn’t always make a beeline for his own zone. That’s a part of his game that will definitely have to be addressed to progress to the next level."

123rd overall pick

Quote :
"Bobby Hughes, C
Team: Kingston Frontenacs
Height: 5’10.5 Weight: 170 lbs. Shoots: L – Final CSS ranking: 25th

The Richmond Hill, Ontario native blossomed in his third season with the Kingston Frontenacs, refining his goal-scorer’s touch and reminding everyone why he was such a highly prized early draft pick when he came into the league at the age of 16.

Hughes already had a pair of impressive seasons under his belt before the 2005-06 campaign kicked off. He wowed scouts and fans alike with 11 goals and 27 points in his rookie season – showing the ability to drive to the net. He steadily improved the next year with 17 goals and 38 assists in 66 games last year. This year, playing on the team’s top line, the 18-year-old center bettered his two-year goal total with 35, adding 40 assists.

Hughes has compensated for his lack of height with phenomenal strength. Not content to be an offensively gifted player on the fringes, Hughes is a beast to knock off his feet and can hold his own against bigger, stronger defenders.

Hughes is a two-time member of the Ontario Under-17 Team at the World Hockey Challenge and he was also a participant in the Top Prospect game. Questions remain as to whether Hughes is a product of the talent that he plays alongside in Kingston or a catalyst in allowing that talent to blossom, but his development this season has allayed any fears that he may not be a top-flight prospect."

153rd overall

Name: Stefan Chaput
Position: C
Shoots: Left
Height: 6-2
Weight: 190 lbs
Birthdate: 1988-03-11
Hometown: Ile Bizard, Quebec

Quote :
"Talent Analysis

Chaput is full of energy on the ice, willing to hit regularly. He is a strong skater with a good nose for the net, and is willing to work hard in the trenches to create plays. A tenacious fore-checker as well as a responsible back-checker, Chaput is also a valuable defensive forward, giving fits to the opposition’s top players, and playing hard on the Lewiston penalty kill.
Future

Chaput would make a great third or fourth line energy player, but also someone who has offensive skills strong enough that he could step up onto a second line role if penalty difficulties. Like his line mate, Stefano Giliati, Chaput has shot up the charts since the mid-term rankings, and is quite the sleeper."

^ Going back to blue and gold.

BTW, no one mentioned Raycroft for Rask. Once again, the Leafs' impatience will leave them in the lurch. Raycroft is a solid goalie (despite this season's performance), but he's no world beater, and now the Bruins have a solid goalie in Thomas and two dynamite prospects in Rask and Toivonen.

The Leafs still have some other goalie prospect and even as mediocre as I've heard he was last year at least Raycroft was good at some point. Plus, Paul Mo got Arturus Irbe and Kevin fucking Weekes to play decently in goal, so I'm sure he'll get Raycroft into form.

As a side note, I just found out the Rangers are paying Kevin fucking Weekes nearly $2 million dollars a year and want to kill myself.

Or Weekes. Maybe just Weekes.

1-2-2 trap or Press (as MacT calls it) didn't hurt Archie and Kevin. Mo won't be using it in Toronto so we'll see how good Raycroft is. The best part are Leaf fans that believed they were safe with JS Aubin as starter for next season

People keep commenting on Pronger's request for a trade but its not like you think. Apparently his wife is literally like "Get us out of Edmonton or I'm walking". They were talking about it on Fox or TSN Radio. It has nothing to do with the organization, contract, or anything.

The Sens are letting Tyler Arnason go without an offer, he could be a Cullen like project for the team. He plays a very solid two way game and a decent skill set.

from another board on Pronger:

Quote :
"The Big Pronger Rumour righ now is the reason he wants out of Edmonton is because he knocked up some 17 or 18 year old chick from Sherwood Park (suburb of Edmonton) at a party not too long after being acquired by the Oil. Apparently Pronger and the boys went out and celebrated what could be after the big trades last summer. That would be why his wife is pissed and she tok the kids back to STL. That's the big rumour, and of course I don't have any super solid sources to back it up, but so far it's the thing that makes the most sense."

haha douche
