well i know kenny williams wants andruw, but he never offers anything but shit for himi doubt we'll end up with zumaya, but no one is untouchable
7/19/2006 6:06:56 PM
i mean true, but they would have to be offered something along the lines of andruw for one
7/19/2006 6:07:57 PM
my braves wishlist, in no particular ordertrade gilestrade larochekeep betemitget a leadoff hittertrade the bullpenget a solid #2 or #3-type starterget a young set up man or two, i figure there won't be any closers availablestick saltalamacchia in a package deal for someone, this guy is having a horrible year and we need to dump him before everyone else figures out he sucks
7/19/2006 6:27:16 PM
i've been hearing rumors about soriano going to the Marinersdon't know how possible it iswhat do guys know about it or who else is interested in soriano?i heard yankees, angels, and the mariners
7/19/2006 8:57:12 PM
It would have been nice for the braves to get Linebrink from the padres, but for giles instead of betimet. But it doesnt look like the padres are ready to trade. There was something about Todd Jones relly wanting to be a Brave, but its hard to justify giving a lot up for a 38 year old closer, even though it would be a lot less risky then when they got kolb.
7/19/2006 9:05:11 PM
todd jones wanted the braves to sign him as a free agent this past offseasoni doubt we'll try to trade for himpicking up scott linebrink would have been great, but i'd rather hold on to betemit
7/19/2006 9:06:17 PM
TEAMS WITH THE BEST RECORD IN BASEBALL DONT TRADE THEIR CLOSER MID SEASON MORONS
7/19/2006 10:02:38 PM
more like MORON
7/19/2006 10:20:28 PM
I didn't say that they were going to get jones, i just mentioned that he wanted to be a brave. Todays Braves Notes on mlb.com said that Schuerolz and Cox had a closed door meeting, and discussed one or two trades that should happen this week. It seems to me like they may be close to being done and hes letting Cox know so they can plan around them
7/19/2006 10:24:54 PM
DUDE I HEARD WE'RE GETTING RICK BARNESI'M TRACKING HIS FLIGHT NOW
7/19/2006 10:27:44 PM
what do you think about ray king for sosa
7/19/2006 10:29:59 PM
i think i was happy when we got rid of king the first timeour relievers have absolutely no trade value, especially sosa
7/19/2006 10:32:40 PM
hillenbrand just got cut by the Jays for not getting along with their GMTigers, Padres and Yankees are reportedly after him
7/19/2006 10:57:24 PM
i was just reading thathere's the link: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=6332what would the yankees want with himthey don't need another corner infielderthis dude's a prick anyways
7/19/2006 10:58:49 PM
he can play 1st
7/19/2006 11:00:00 PM
yeah i knowi'm not looking up their stats, but i thought the phillips/giambi combo was working pretty well
7/19/2006 11:06:33 PM
their DH/ Phillips combo sucks thoughGiambi as a FT DH is the best
7/19/2006 11:11:47 PM
The Braves just got Bob Wickman from Cleveland and all they gave up was a Class A catcher.
7/20/2006 3:31:25 PM
^^ I don't know how you can say Phillips has sucked at first. He's not necessarily an all-star, but he's been extremely solid, especially for a young guy. I'd rather have Phillips at first than Shea Hillenbrand.Unless you're not saying that exactly. I agree that Giambi sucks at first and needs to be the DH full time. What I'm trying to say is that I like Phillips at first more than Giambi, and I'd rather have him than Hillenbrand because he's younger and, ya know, not a prick.[Edited on July 20, 2006 at 5:18 PM. Rumor is Milledge for Abreu. Don't be stupid Omar.. no need for him.. if Milledge gets traded it better be part of a package for Dontrelle or Zito..
7/20/2006 10:59:14 PM
i'm still not all that impressed by milledgebut this is a dumb move by the mets if he's as great of a prospect as everyone thinks he isof course, the phrase 'dumb move by the mets' is a bit redundant
7/20/2006 11:03:08 PM
why isn't anyone talking about soriano?definitely the best bat on the trading blockATTN: someone with ESPN insider, post the soriano link (or anyone else):http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/features/rumors?&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fmlb%2ffeatures%2frumors

prolly a smokescreen to make the tigers give up moredombrowski is smart though, no way he depletes our farm system for some rental who cant fieldbtw, I like the tigers chances without making any moves, the chisox's shitty pitching is finally catching up to them, so let them sacrifice more pitching for another bat
7/24/2006 7:35:02 PM
word is livan hernandez is going to be traded to the mets very soon
7/26/2006 6:58:13 PM
god i hope soben broussard is a mariner
7/26/2006 7:24:25 PM
^^ I'm not sure where you're getting that? None of the sites I check mention it even.. especially not with the way John Maine is pitching right now (17 straight scoreless IP)..
7/26/2006 7:29:09 PM
they were talking about it on one of my xm radio stations on the way home from work
