The only thing I get from that posted convo is that its funny that we can lose to UNC 2 years in a row and people outside NC still think we take the cake in football. Thats pretty impressive considering everything. The victories over FSU help, but even in state analysts pretty much think our talent level dominated UNC the last two years. That doesn't say much about our coaching staff, but thats another argument.

^^^^^ Most games that people from outside of NC see are the nationally broadcast games.

They probably saw UNC get raped by Louisville one week and NCSU beat GT and FSU on the same channel.

Really, nobody outside of the State/UNC rivalry care about the overall series between the two schools. All they care about is bigtime games. If NCSU and UNC were both national title contenders on a regular basis (FSU/UF/Miami) then people would get into the rivalry.

NCSU has the image of a football school right now while UNC is considered a predominantly basketball school...kinda like UCONN or Kentucky
