esgargs, if you can't see the difference between the partition of india, and the israeli-palestinian conflict... i don't know, maybe you are playing dumb.

india was cut into two parts, a majority-muslim, and a majority-hindu. those muslims and hindus didn't suddenly come there just 50 years ago. they have been there for thousands of years. sure, in the ensuing bloodbath and mayhem, mutual population exchanges (forced and voluntary) took place, but one had the freedom to either stay where they were (almost all of the people), and for the few who were kicked out or left for being in the "wrong part" (hindus in pakistan and muslims in india), they could settle anywhere they liked in the other country.

israel/palestine is different. it is not as if all the israelis were there next to the palestinians for thousands of years as in india, but these israelis suddenly descended upon the land from elsewhere, and other people (britain, un) gave the land of the arabs to the jews, some of it anyway.

nyc is the economic center. destroying the economy will hurt the military more than destroying any one city. there is no industrial center of the u.s.

plus, there are many americans that rather jump off cliffs with their babies than stop giving aid to israel. a thousand million could be lost in a ground invasion.

So here's how we should do it. Get the full military might of all the countries in the UN together. Demand and imediate cease fire effective tomorrow at 12AM local time. The next attack that occurs, nuke the entire area. Clean it out, divide it in half give one half back to each side, rinse / repeat until they learn their lesson.

Last I checked Israel in the past 15 or so years has made itself into a modern diversified economy, they can easily copy sufficient western technology to defend themselves/invade others.
