for those who didnt understand the thread: what i meant is movies based on important events, embellished or not. examples include wwII movies, gandhi, jfk, etc.

Braveheart took a lot of liberties with the storyline, but most of the battles occured and most of the characters were based on real people.

I've heard (I'm not sure if this is true or not) that the real William Wallce DID NOT, in fact, deliver a heartwarming speech to his men regarding the devilry of Jews and how come they suck so bad.
