it didnt take chuck 5 seasons to get to this level....herb had a worse team to start with i guess, yada yada yada...like a few people have said: APPLES and ORANGES

It's not like Amato is locked into mediocrity. We had probably one of the top 3 seasons under Amato and no one would argue that we haven't been close to being even better at times. The talent level is higher than ever, so how exactly does that = Amato on the hotseat.

And State basketball and football are apples and oranges.

That's all I'm saying.
