The new 06 GTOs definitely have some umph.. but with their weight.. I have yet to see the less powerful used GTOs run better than say... a Mach 1... but always a lil better than the new GTs.. (talking stock here) but if you can fork out the cash for the newer GTOs they are definitely full of raw seat of your pants power... but damn I still think they look ugly

I'm 6'6" and have abnormally long legs.

My knees hit the dash.

Power to weight ratio, son. They did a drag test in some magazine I was reading once of an 04 GTO with I believe the 5.3? maybe it was an LS1, but not the LS2; versus an 04 Mach 1, and the Mach won 3 times In a row by about 3 or 4 tenths.

Ive only heard negative things about the 04 GTO's, but Ive heard good things about the LS2 GTOs

If you want reliable, a rotary engine (RX-8) is not a good choice. Neither is the GTO (saw one in a car show, and things were already breaking). Pontiac is just not known for making reliable cars.

without launching into an essay, let's just say that a nonturbo rotary can easily go 150k miles if properly maintained. it's not going to last as long as a civic, and requires the oil to be filled up after a while, but Mazda has had few issues with its n/a engines. The early Rx-8s needed an ECU flash from the dealer, but besides that they have been fine.

and an n/a 4.6 sucks compared to an LS2.

Well it is at a 1.4 liter defecit to the LS2, but it is also going to cost less
