So I'm pretty sure we are getting a chocolate Italian Greyhound on Tuesday. I'll post pictures when we get him home and set up a bit.

My current name choices are Red, Hershey, Cosmo, Nero, Dante, Santo, and Vito.

Anyone have any reccomendations for a good vet in Cary?

I don't know yet if the puppy has had any shots yet, and I know he hasn't been neutered yet, plus I just need a regular vet I spose.

I haven't read the thread, so this may have already been mentioned.

Jack Russels are VERY energetic dogs. They need a lot of physical and mental exercise. If you don't believe you can devote enough time to the dog, then this is not the breed for you. I've seen a lot of Jack Russells that have turned into destructive, noisy hellions because the owner thought that love is all you need for a dog.

Love is not enough! If you take the dog for plenty of walks, and entertain its mind by teaching it plenty of tricks, then you will have a great pet. But if you slack, your house will be chewed to bits in no time.

Petsound Animal Hospital off Tryon Rd/kildaire farm rd is awesome. The vet, Dr. Monce, is honest and really cares about animals. Their prices are very reasonable, especially in Cary. I used to just take my fosters there but now I take my own personal animals there. He also does rescue work which a lot of vets don't do, even though they have the knowledge and resources. good luck with your new dog

we have a dachshund that is a very good dog. I had a Jack Russell once that was extremely hyper and could be very aggravating. I would stay away from those unless you can leave it outside all the time.
