speaking of defense, it is pressley's year to step up....remember he was what, the #1 DT in the nation out of HS? i think if he steps up, as well as our new players such as WY, as well as the addition of raymond brooks our D won't falter much from last years

Despite losing 3 first-rounders, our defense actually looks pretty stout on paper. Our secondary is very solid and our tackles might be the best in the ACC. Linebacker and DE are question marks, but it's not like we're starting a bunch of freshmen.

On offense, I am hoping for an injury to Marcus Stone. I really think that Burke could step in and make some noise. I have very little faith in Stone suddenly turning into an ACC caliber QB.

No way does state post a record this bad. SI is off as usual, just like Phil's senior year when they picked us as the 8th team in the country! Let's just hope that in the underdog role we achieve instead of falling way short of expectaions like we do when they expect a lot out of us. Can't wait to see all this unfold on the field!

Then the FSU game not only did we bring him just to scramble again, we also let TA take some snaps... This is further proves that PRiv's parents needed to have another son 4 years younger than Phillip.

Wake returns 20 starters....10 on offense and 10 on D....I think the RB and QB are considered 1/2 starters on that since they both started about half of last season.

I'll stick to my statement...Wake is going to a Bowl this year!

their schedule is cake...Syrcuse, Duke, UConn, Ole Miss, Liberty, NCSU, UNC, Maryland

Tell me they can't get 6 wins out of those 8...the other 4 are a bit tougher but I could see them beating 1 of them...FSU, Clemson, VT, BC

They always play BC close or beat them, they beat Clemson a couple times in the past few years, they had VT beat 2 years ago and couldn't hang on, and they always seem to be in the games with FSU.

Yeah, just looking at the schedule would suggest that they're bowling, but it's still Wake. I'm not putting any bets on it.

Mauk will be useless unless the O-line can create a pocket for him this year. Andrews will get plenty of yards, but that's not going to save them from the pass rush.

Wait wait, you guys actually think Wake can go bowling with Mauk under center? Sure they return lots of starters, but they have no QB and a mdeiocre at best backfield.

They lost Chris Carclay, an All-ACC caliber back. Starting this year at HB will be a guy with 1 TD to his name.

And Mauk? For those of you who didn't see Wake play last year, Mauk was awful.

85/158 for 845 yds. 1 TD and 6 INTS. Oh and the best part was the sacks. Are you ready for this? 17. 17 sacks. Mauk had 1 TD, 6 INTs, and 17 sacks in 7 games last year.

He lit us up last year, but he certainly isn't going to lead Wake to a good season.
