i would appreciate that actually...

sure they make mistakes...but i dont get why so many of you are willing to side with homicidal tyrants...terrorists and the leaders of other nations who are just as capable of making mistakes as our leaders

Being against attacking them does not imply supporting them. I think it DOES imply remaining neutral.

That's not the case at all. If Clinton had a neocon ideology when it came to foriegn policy, you'd better believe I wouldn't trust him when it came to invading countries.

That's like me faulting you for not trusting Hillary on healthcare. Of course you shouldn't trust her; her beliefs on the issue run counter to your own. It's (mostly) independent of your personal disliking of her.

i think most rational people either trust the govt or not regardless of who is in power...our two political parties arent that different...a bunch of rich people getting richer

of course, when we're talking about rational people, boonedocks doesn't come to mind

i actually trust hillary on healthcare sooo....uhh....

so what exactly was clinton doing in places like bosnia??...i mean....that dang neocon...why was he there!? obviuosly it was to dig in with US troops to have sway over the ME and get oil...i dont trust anyone

Blair had to be reigned in over Bosnia. he wanted to go in unilaterally.

Well how about Kerry on gun control. Or whatever metaphor you'd like. I made my point. It's distrust in a person's ideology, not personal dislike.

Clinton was stopping genocide in Bosnia. That's not a neocon rationale, and it's one I personally support.

thats what the neocons would want us to think...we all know that clinton was just out to pad the pockets of his wife and his buddies in big business...obviuosly..by having US forces in bosnia...he would better dothat

so when clinton stops a leader from killing his own people he is just stopping genocide...

when bush does the same he is only there for oil and to get rich....

yeah...i guess that makes sense

Yeah, that was his rationale for going to war. After WMDs, terrorism, and region transformation didn't work out.

And he totally stopped the genocide.

That happened in the early 90's.

George W. Bush invented a time machine.

bosnia is a civil war clusterfuck right now since clinton evacuated troops too early

lets look at that...cause the media doesnt want you to look at it

I'm against both situations, if it makes you feel any better (Bosnia and Iraq, I mean). Didn't like Clinton, don't like Bush. I'm consistent, at least.

thankfully, bush had the foresight to not involve the world parties of "peace" who would object to us doing whatever it takes to succeed in iraq. those parties were involved in bosnia and their inept UN-style planning and execution led to its demise.

anyway, its clear in the media that there is a double standard for such things. the liberals dont want to admit this, and theyre on the retreat.

What, pray tell, gives Bush the right to claim the success of stopping the next Hitler?

No. Instead we just get to find out if whatever leader is victorious in their civil war will be like the next Hitler.

You're arguing based on what the military decided to call the mission?

How about we argue it based on Bush's actual case for war? Maybe that would be better at deciphering what Bush's actual case for war was?

It was founded on WMD. Human rights was a small part of the argument, but nowhere near as important as WMDs and region transformation.
