Im not a huge fan of this. It is a bit barberic, and a blood sport. I just don't think there are enough rules to protect the fighters!! I think they use 4 ounce gloves (basically nothing) to beat each other senseless.

Then the money isnt enough to cover medical costs. I don't see how they market something this terrible.

there are plewnty of rules to protect the fighters, read up on them at the various organizations website

the injuries fighters sustain are no different than what football players and hockey players sustain

and from what I've seen individuals competeing in MMA after 10 or so years are still able to speak clearly and have no brain damage

4 oz glozes do no more damage than boxing gloves, and fights are stopped alot quicker in MMA than allowing a boxer to recover to suffer more damage after hes already been put down

but I understand the appearance and I wouldnt blame you for it, but just try to watch it youll see what great guys are involved

BUT I AGREE fighters dont get paid enough especially in the UFC, the company gets so much money the fighters dont get nearly enough

Its not that, its just so that the injuries are so frequent. And these fighters suffer constant head traumas. And with the level of ferocity increasing amongst them, it only makes matters worse. Then the money amount is never mentioned. Other than them winning the 6 figure contract, just to support their training. The amount is undisclosed unlike boxing. These guys should be paid boo koo, in my opinion.

things FSN can do to improve its Pride shows:
