I never said I have proof Mcpherson threw the game.

I said I knew about the fix before the game. (Albeit, i didnt believe it prior to the game)

My buddy here found out about it through one of his best friends who goes to FSU. He put $1,000 on the game.

The "fix" wasn't on Florida State to lose... it was on the "under" of total points which was something like 59... the final score was then like 13-3 and FSU never made it past midfield until they took McPherson out.

Bobby Bowden knew the game was fixed and thats why he through McPherson off the team when he learned of.

Saying you dont believe the game was fixed is like saying you dont think Bonds was on steroids.

I cant prove Bonds was on steroids, but for some reason no one doubts me when I say that he was...

I was at that game. And considering we were coming off a 3-game losing streak, the game was certainly more easy than it seemed it should have been coming in. And McPherson getting gambling allegations from the FBI later makes the game's result more sensical (especially with our anemic offense). The final score was 17-7. I think I remember Florida State's one touchdown coming on a blocked field goal (which did not involve McPherson), and four of our points came on two safeties (I think we sacked McPherson on those).

I'm pretty sure the game last year was fixed also, and in 2001, and in 98. We've never beaten FSU straight up.

Yes. I know that. My statement stands. There's evidence against McPherson, that's why there's a gambling case. Your statement as sarcasm was meant to say that people thinking we did not win legitimately against FSU and that it does not count (at the least..."we got help").

um...pretty much we have had about 8 arguments about this with Rally and his only evidence is a friend of a friend....and the gambling case against him. That proves nothing about the NC State game in particular. I know about his gambling problem. I think he might have thrown the game...but I'm not giving into rally's argument that he has proof.

I said I heard about the fix roughly 2 hours before the game.

I had the hangover of death that day and I gave away my ticket to the game so I wasnt there. My friend ended up doing ecstasy and making out at the tailgate with Wyatt Sexton's sister and then sat behind Mrs. Bowden at the game.

If you were the one who received that phone call at like 1:30, perhaps it would be easier to believe.

When Vegas sets the over/under at ~60, games do not go under by ~36 points. It happens once in a blue moon. Then you add up the fact that McPherson was caught in a gambling scandal 48 hours later and thrown off the team.

Anyway, my buddy bought a 36" flat widescreen in '02 when those things were expensive as hell with the money.
