I predict 23-8, 11-5 ACC, loss in the ACC title game, and since JJ isnt there to screw it up, they will win in the Sweet 16, and lose in the regional final as a #4 seed

is it just me or is Duke not the most obvious case of having ineligible players on a bball team ever? There football team is a strong reinforcement. I mean, imagine the odds of having that many ridiculously good bball players at a school like Duke. Why don't we see Harvard and Yale competing in the tournament every year? The football team is pretty much a representation of the Duke student body, and goes to prove that nerds aren't good at sports. The funniest thing is to go watch a bball game at Duke and see all there top of the line athletes playin ball, and then watch their cheerleaders and dance team take the floor at half-time. Quite a big difference in the people they bring in to play basketball and the people who are actually smart enough to go to school there. Just think, somewhere there is a smart, spoiled rich kid whose life-long dream was to get his PhD from Duke and his spot was taken by Shelden Williams who probably couldn't even pass a high school exit exam.

the logic was that it is impossible to even begin to think that the bball players that go to Duke are actually smart enough to get into school there, much less graduate. The fact that they do graduate so many players further proves my point that they are the most obvious case of unfair treatment for athletes in the country. Looking at some of their other sports teams proves it, and common logic proves it. The best basketball players in the country can't all be geniuses and your other athletes all suck. Just watch some of their player interviews, I have seen several of those guys whose vocabulary wasn't even up to high school level. I just think it makes Duke's image look even worse, if that is possible...

scheyer looked awesome. made like his 1st four 3s. lance thomas is a beast. duke has 3 guys that can play 5. i'm really impressed at how we run and play 9 deep this year. not something we've done in a long time.

paulus is an incredible pg

gerald henderson's silence worries me. i hope he isn't a bust. either way this team is for real.

the defense looked good (but it was columbia and i'm worried about the freshmen besides zoubek on d)

also lack of helping downlow seemed to be a problem.

Fuckknuckle, I hate the Left coast and working. I want to watch this.

Scheyer is the next Duke guy I have to hate unfortunately. They said yesterday on the U that he was a better all around player at this point in his progression than JJ was. Not that he is better now than JJ is now.

V well JJ sucked as a bball player his frosh year. Lights out shooter but not a very versatile player. His progression from frosh->senior was amazing..

have you ever even been to a State bball game? we do that all the time. we'll start counting down from 10 with like 15 or so seconds left on the clock when we're on defense, and we count honestly for our team when we are on offense to help them out and let them know that they don't have much time left. i've seen numerous opposing players throw up desperation shots when there's like 7 seconds left on the clock.

i get light headed when i'm jumping and yelling at the same time. i think that's why most people just yell and don't jump for the most part. i like when people kick the boards and stomp on the aluminum flooring to help make extra noise. i've been to more games then i can remember. more often than not we count dishonestly for the opposing team.
