Aight so after reading the rest of this thread and some others I see that this is just common talk for you guys.

Anyways I just got done with the turbo install and am still working on a few things. Right now I'm only running 6psi and the car dynoed at 240rwhp. Stock run was 170rwhp. The motors a 2.5l and I'm still running stock compression (10.5:1) so I will only run 10-11psi for high boost. The goal for now with stock internals and compression is to break 300rwhp which I think is very do-able.

Yes I've done all the work to the car myself. In that video it was still an open 2.93diff and now I have a 3.38lsd. I don't see how you consider random spinouts in a parking lot bad driving as that was the purpose to just finish off some tires.

Anyways let the shit talk continue as I think I'll be sticking around!

did you really just make an assumption of his power output based on subarus?

needed a larger front bumper for the intercooler and the m3 side moldings make the car look smoother...

225's were up front and have plenty of trread left... I'm going to go larger in the front when I need more tires.

well, i'm no regular around these parts, but any 18 yr old kid with a modded bimmer living at UT is not someone that really should be allowed to say "grow up" and be taken seriously. Hi kid, welcome to college. Sit down and learn before opening your mouth.

The comments here are certainly echoing the common belief that at TWW, you gotta just let this shit go.

But hey, that's just me.

He said hes only running 6psi, so that graph is right on target for that kind of boost on that motor.

yup 70rwhp gain at 6psi is not bad at all... goal is to break 300rwhp at 10-11psi... later on will do built s52 bottom end, low compression, cams, and of course more boost.

Yes I've done all that work but I have plenty of potential left whereas your s52 is about maxed out.

By maxed out I meant in the NA realm of things. You could get around 260rwhp or so with some head work and cams probably. Didn't mean for that to be an attack to you.

Part of why I went turbo instead of doing the motor swap, then turbo, was because noone else (to my knowledge) has done a turbo 323is (2.5l). It was going to be faster for me to just turbo this motor get the tuning down and see what kind of potential the obdII 2.5l really has, rather than find a good deal on an s52 and do a complete swap. All the components I bought will be able to be used on the 3.2block however I will prob. change from the .63ar exhaust housing to a .82ar.

I considered the s52 swap so many times but when it came down to it didn't make $ sense to buy a stock s52 and boost it when I would need to have a built 3.2l instead. Kind of a waste of ~2grand. I'll just find a block and build it from scratch and use my head with upgraded springs and cams when I want to go all out.

Anyways like all projects this one is on going.

waste of money? it will cost a lot either way. Dont think you will have a built 3.2 for less then buying a 3.2.

I've been meaning to check out the car and see how it's doing. I made 300whp on the 328 with a t3/t4 AA stg1 kit on 8.5 lbs so i know you can hit your goals. Just keep working at it man.

haha kind of funny about the 2jz because that is the engine I selected in the emanage ultimate for baseline parameters..

How badass would a ls1 swap be though?!
