jay davis graduated or doesn't have anymore eligibility

and if marcus stone has a good game tomorrow, it won't mean anything

if he has at least 6 good games this year (and by good i mean better than mediocre and actually contributing to the offense more than just handing off the ball) then i'll say he had a pretty decent year

if i keep going to games and get bored b/c all we do is run run run punt and still manage to win, you better believe there will be something to bitch about

basically if we actually deserve to win, then i won't bitch

if we continue to scrape by because we're playing shitty teams who's faults cause us to win, that's worth bitching about

i like watching a good quality game

we've barely reached good

and we haven't even come close to quality

Longshore/Ayoob is the most immediate example I have of 2 QBs on the same team playing in the same game... not to mention possible garbage time..

I mean, this isn't that hard

Any reason Andre got 3 carries for 10 yards? Did he get hurt? Or is Chuck just a downie?

hilarious that Chuck is getting blamed for this

If you cant look at marcus and say he lost this game for us you should get punched in your own nose.

lets see, celebration penalty that back us up to the 20, kicked it to the 10, that woulda made the kick 5 yards in the end zone with the clock still running on the kick leaving about 45 seconds instead of 1 min. therefore they have to drive 80 yards instead of 67.

coach is responsible for his players, everytime. I dont care who the coach/kid is or the penalty.

Wait, Marcus got us back in this game at the end of the game, and our defense got soft. You can't put anymore blame on Marcus than you can on the D. Marcus put us in a position to win this game(yeah I couldn't believe it either) and then the defense gave up, what, 60-70 yards in less than 1 minute.

We shouldn't have needed a review at the end if our D would have stepped up and not give up the long passing plays.

And yeah, I think losing Andre early really hurt the team.

D has to step up.....each time we scored a TD, the D gave up killer drives not too long after. It kills

It would help if Stone could complete passes in the first half for once.

He was 7/21 at one point and then improved to 17/33 from there.

Why the fuck can't he keep a steady average?

Marcus sucked

that was one of the worst performances ive ever seen

the defense gave him the ball at the 50 all game and he still couldnt put up points.

You can blame the defense all you want, but thats just not being honest

He couldnt complete a pass, period.

The defense was probably tired at the end of the game.

Maybe it was because for 3 and a half quarters our offense did a grand total of jack shit?

They did a good enough job to keep us in the game while our offense was spinning it's wheels.

I find it hard to blame the defense for disappearing for a quarter, when the offense was non-existent for 3 of them.

Marcus didn't lose the game for us

The defense lost the game. We got pushed around in the trenches. They walked into the endzone every time they had it inside the 5. At the same time, we couldn't get a yard on 3rd or 4th and 1 to save our lives.

well, a few key injuries really hurt us

our center Luke Lathan is out, that 30 yard long snap woulda been cured

AJ Davis is out and they kept tearin us up with #2 and #12 their like 7 foot reciever.

Andre tweaked his hammy? i think thats the word around

but still the offense was terriblethe first 3 quarters, we need something more consistent

What? You think Lathan wouldn't make a mistake that Leroy Harris, our friggin' star center, did?

The defense and special teams groups handed Marcus more than enough chances to put the game away early with the field position they were gaining.

The game shouldn't have even come down to the last drive if he was a competent quarterback for more than 10 minutes.

The defense let Akron drive 96 yards in 3 plays and 60 yards in 45 seconds, both for TDs. BALL GAME.

We don't have any linebackers, which is why those TD's were cakewalks once they got around our defensive ends.

They were probably tired, considering they actually did shit during a majority of the game.

Look, I agree they fucked up bad at the end, but I can't hang them over it when our offense was about a million times worse.

The defense shouldn't have been all that tired, in the first half they only had 2-3 more minutes of possession than us, so it wasn't as lop-sided as it would have appeared.

I think it was an all-around loss, but you can't just say it was Marcus' fault without putting SOME blame on the D. And I agree, the LB's disappeared today. Everytime their QB was scrambling on the last drive and their RB was running all over us I was trying to figure out where are LB's had disappeared to.

And I agree, the injuries are hurting. Missing the person that's played center all pre-season hurts(all the fumbled snaps), missing arguably our best offensive player, as well as missing arguably our best defensive player(I don't think he is but he's our best corner) really start to add up.

We better hope everyone is healthy next week and that Marcus can play like he did in the 4th or we'll be 1-2.

If we had even a slightly sub-par passing game we could dominate but as it stands right now teams give us zero respect on the pass. It makes play-action and runs/options out of the shotgun pointless... we line up and they are like "Rrrriiiggghhhttt..."

I honestly can't believe Daniel Evans never got a snap in the game. It really makes me worried that perhaps neither him nor Burke are worth a shit either. Then again our staff is notoriously stubborn.
