It's obvious that they were going for the first draft pick for next year.

A bold strategy.

The thing that pissed me off the most was that, in the offseason, Art Shell preached a dedication to the running game. Last night, they handed the ball off a total of 15 times.

Robert Gallery's out Sunday with a partially torn calf. I still don't know if this is good news or bad news.

Quote :
"7. Oakland: Given the way Cutler played in preseason, and the abysmal performance by Aaron Brooks in the Raiders' opening-game loss last week, the former Vanderbilt quarterback, who was chosen by Denver with the 11th choice, has to look pretty good. Cutler has the kind of big arm Raiders owner Al Davis covets and, while it's hard to put too much stock in preseason results, it appears he is more ready to play quickly than most scouts had anticipated. "

Hmmm, this is almost something that happens constantly. I talk shit about an obvious topic....people on here tell me I am full of shit and I don't know what I am talking about....but the people who get paid to write and talk about sports, and obviously know more about sports than anyone on here, seem to pretty much agree with what I have to say. So, please stop acting like you are sports gods. I will admit I dont know it all, but atleast the shit I talk about lines up with the people that matter.

Gonna bring this back up, you have Moss, one of the best WRs in the league, and you don't even draft someone to pass to him either this year or next. You think the QB situation is bad now, wait till you see it next year. They should really just trade Moss and get someone useful for him, because as of now, Moss is just wasting away in Oakland.

I guess what I am trying to say is....Leinart or even Cutler could do better or as good as Brooks, and both of them have potential to get better. Brooks is all downhill from this point and probably out of the league after this year.

Say hello to Al Davis....."trying to succeed with below average-to-average QBs since the mid 60's!" (with a few exceptions of course)

- Jay Schroeder
- Jeff Hostetler
- Jeff George
- Rich Gannon
- Kerry Collins
- Aaron Brooks

And that's just recently.

Rush for 200 yards and lose?! Being a Raiders fan gets harder every week.

Wonder how bad the Raiders feel for passing up on Leinart now.

Raiders O-line couldn't protect him nearly as long as Arizona's is.

[Edited on October 16, 2006 at 10:09 PM. Reason : hell, Arizona couldn't even do this a week ago]
