USC's acceptance rate is 27%. NC State's acceptance rate 66%. ASU's acceptance rate is 91%. So I'm not sure if this was a joke or you just have no clue.

Ohio State is hardly an elite research institution. Look at their NSF grants, patents, and other research and compare it to little ole' NCSU.

OSU is a huge school, with lots of alums, but that doesn't necessarily make it elite across the board.

That's based upon the size of the university. Once you get into USC it is hard to fail out of.
