I have no problem with using warfare. al Qaida, et al have shown a remarkable talent for exploiting every opportunity and have proven that they will not be stopped until they are unquestionably defeated, not just pushed back or held in check. However, if warfare is going to be used, it should be executed so as to secure victory in the shortest period of time. What game, I wonder, are we playing at all?
