^^ you are correct. I apologize. This year was the short session. Next year will be the long session and they will meet in January.

this is just the NCEES Model Law. The regulations that actually apply to you are your individual state's requirements . . . or the requirements of any other state that you wish to get liscensed in. Most state liscensing boards follow the Model Law pretty closely, but they can differ from it if they want to. In NC, NCBELS is incharge of liscensing. http://www.ncbels.org/

yeah, the idea is so that it doesn't effect people who don't know about the changes before they enroll. 8 Years is the minimum of how long it "should" take to get your BS, take the FE, get experience, take PE. Although with this requirement, it basically guarantees you atleast 5 or 6 years of school.
