If you use this method to determine who is the best, Peppers might be the best player in the NFL. He could probably play every position except probably QB and K/P and be starting quality at almost any college.

when i think "best football player", i'm thinking "who's the best overall player? who can generally play multiple positions? who is the best athlete?"

when you think about that, it has to be lt.

he's the best running back.
he's a good receiver.
he's can return kicks.
he can pass (7/9, 6 td's)

he hasn't played the position, but i bet he could be a decent corner given time to train and learn the position. he's certainly athletic enough. he can probably kick the ball well enough to be used if absolutely necessary (as could lots of players).

you can't say that peyton could play any position besides qb. he's not athletic enough.
