Favorite bosses:
Ganondorf in WW
Twinrova and Phantom Ganon in OoT

Pretty much all the boss battles in WW were fantastic visually, but most Zelda bosses have been easy since Zelda II.

Zelda 1 simply cannot be beat if you lived through the series. C'mon, a hard as balls SECOND quest! Plus the music...

oh shit, I forgot Ganondorf. Add him in WW and OOT plus Twinrova and Majora's Mask to my list.

Racing the bull was a fun boss fight. Bongo Bongo and Phantom Gannon were pretty difficult the first couple of times.

^^^What emulator is used? It was my knowledge that N64 games couldn't successfully be emulated, at least not without significant glitches and crashes.

Your knowledge is a few years out of date, then.

Seriously. The Xbox has 3 fully functional N64 emulators that work at full speed without any noticeable glitches. And it's the technological equivalent of a PIII 733Mhz PC.

I knew someone would do that. It's not exactly the same, but yeah it's awful similar.

Don't need an Xbox. I remember playing Mario 64 on my K6-3 450 MHz back when I lived in the dorms and our TV was broken (five years ago or so).

Good God, way to miss the point.

If an Xbox (which is a glorified PC) can do it, so can any computer made in the past 5 years.

I have no doubt that a computer could do it, I just wasn't aware that glitch-free emulators were here. The last time I saw an N64 game being emulated was about four years ago, back in my freshman year. I was told that emulators for those kinds of games were really buggy. It's not something I've kept track of extensively, so I had no idea that software had caught up.

I have only played the first 3 Zeldas.

Loved the first one, played that with my uncle Tim when I was a kid all the time.

Hated Zelda 2, it was way too hard.

Loved Zelda 3 a lot.

Favorite boss fight(s) were the ones with Agahnim the wizard.

I have two copies of LttP. :X But I wouldn't call it a very long game. I've beaten it in an afternoon without dying or saving. Four Swords Adventure is also pretty fun but I kind of just played it for completion's sake. The lack of plot and keeping stuff kind of grated on me.

one of my favorite zelda moments was fighting link's shadow in the water temple in ocarina of time. when i played it i thought it was the closest thing to an actual swordfight in a videogame.

A guy on wii.ign.com got a copy of TP already and has been playing it...to review it for a newspaper or something... people are posting questions about the game and he is answering them. he also posted a couple pictures....

the thread is awesome, but contains MAJOR SPOILERS about items and the storyline/dungeons...

Ok I hated Ocarina of Time and didn't even bother with the later ones. The gameplay was shitty compared to Link to the Past especially. All that lame errand boy shit got on my nerves. Zelda 3 had way better fighting and a good story. It was kinda easy though... some weekends I'd be bored and just play the whole game through in like 6-8 hours or something.

Zelda 1 was the hardest by far. Zelda 2 was pretty sweet and is completely underrated.

I give A Link to the Past the edge over Ocarina due to the greater number of dungeons. I was disappointed when I became adult Link and found out there were only five temples.

Just three more weeks or so and I can finally pick up my GC copy of Twilght Princess.

But I'm not sure I can come back to this thread anymore until I start playing. I'm pretty sure people are going to post spoilers, and even if most of you are curteous enough to mark spoilers where you put them there's always at least that one asshole who will post mega-huge pictures and text that gives away the entire plot. I can't risk that.
