nah i am making an argument for the stupid name they gave to that college of theirs. when you hear First Year College you think oh it's like a program for freshmen that aren't quite sure which major they want to declare for, so they'll take a mixture of courses from the disciplines that they might have an interest in. General College doesn't imply that it's just for freshmen to figure out what they want to do. General College sounds like they really would have a major called college, like the other poster said, or perhaps some other ambiguous sounding majors.
