Anybody other than an experienced linebacker coach from FSU.

I want Randy Shannon. How old is Mickey Andrews?? I would like him too, but I'm thinking he's going to retire as FSU. I don't think a high profile coach will come to State. We might be a small notch ahead of UNC as far as attractiveness of a job goes...but it's not high enough for a Butch Davis type name. We just need to luck up and get a good coordinator.

I know he's old and its unlikely but Dick Sheridan recently took charge of building Old Dominion's new football program. He's been out of coaching for a while but he sure kicked ass while he was here.

norm chow WOULD be a HC here... he said so.

Would be a great get, and then get cowher to be our DC in his free time... could be quite the proposition if chuck were to get axed...

But... chuck aint going nowhere, unless its to the AD position, replacing Fowlers dumb excuse...

I wonder, if we got a new AD would he/she get rid of the tailgate time restriction?

Norm Chow would be a gret hire, and he would definately come back here. He said that the only 2 HC positions he would take would be Arizona St. and NC State. He still has connections to this area, too. I know a guy (actually his ^^ cousin) who told me recently about the connection Chow had to his church in this area (he attended Chow's church). Apparently he made some good friends here and his family enjoyed it and he would like to come back if given the change.

Norm Chow would be a great hire... if Chuck is fired -- which he won't be -- not until he has multiple losing seasons.

last time people were saying that, and we got rid of noel mazzone. that turned out great.

chuck is obviously the common denominator of suckitude.

i hope you are joking... because that is absurd. nobody could be a DC at the collegiate level with just their "free time". it's a full-time position no matter who you are. also, cowher would never go from being an NFL head coach with a super bowl ring to being a DC in college football. shit, i would just retire and live the good life.

Cowher as HC with Norm Chow as OC....Cowher could just be his own DC if he wanted or get somebody else....

The problem is that chuck is not an offensive minded coach, and you have to be willing to take "risks" on offense to win games. The defense can't play perfectly every game, as much as the old defensive line coach might believe.

because we want and think it possible to get norm chow?

Dear Coach Trestmen,

Running the ball up the middle when it is 2nd and 10+ will not work a good percentage of the time..why do you continue to do this over and over? Evans can pass the ball. He and our talented recievers beat FSU and BC because we threw the ball down the field and allowed them to make plays. Try it sometime.

If anything, Chuck has been our savior from Marc Trestman. Chuck's still the man.

My choices we should go:

1) Cowher...the man has said he is done with Pitt after this year and I think he would consider.
2) Chow....wants to be a head coach and has been here before.
3) Donnan...won at UGA where they expect more than here and is an alum.

If those all say no, then go after Mike Price, SERIOUSLY. We will probably end up with an old washed coach that used to play here so I expect Jamie Barnette.

bigun20, im not saying trestman is good...but you do realize 75 percent of teams run on 2nd and 10...one goal of most offenses is to have a chance on third down

lots of speculation about cowher leaving the stealers, thats not deniable

mariotti gave brought it up during around the horn to the tune of "will cowher go back to north carolina with his family?"

As farfetched as you may think it is, dont think for a fucking second that a jobless cowher wouldnt be pursued at the very least

if he wasnt, the university should just be shut down

I want him to stay. He's a great coach, just having tough times. He develops players, and he knows what he is doing.

^ dude, have you never been a part of one of our 4th place finishes? We are fucking awesome. We never turn the ball over, don't have too many penalties, and Chuck puts a product on the field that makes me happy to be fan.

The Head Football coach at Greenville Rose High School in Greenville, NC...he can bring his WHOLE staff with him!

The Rampants only have the second longest winning streak in the state of NC behind Charlotte Independence!!

Chow as HC in college I can possibly see.

But no way does he leave as OC at an NFL team to become OC of a college team again.

^

Rumor mill says that the entire Titans staff may get the axe after this year.

Also, I can't remember exactly where it was, but I do remember Chow saying that he really enjoyed Raleigh and it was one of the few places he would go back to/coach at.
