First Grapefruit League game today. Ollie Perez getting the start and will be followed by Heilman and Soler among others. Doesn't really matter what the result is but it's on MLB.tv!!! I'll watch it as I go to sleep I suppose tonight since it starts in like 2 hours and I'm at work

Watching the first inning at work. Glave looks good as always already (doesn't take as much time for him to get into it as a power pitcher like OPez or Pelfrey would... )

Just want to see Reyes, Wright, and Beltran take their first cuts and then get back to work..

** Carpenter on the mound. Reyes laces a line drive out right at the RF. Wright w/ a bloop double. Beltran with a triple off the top of the CF wall.

V yeah, ST matters!!! Is Carl Pavano going to start at least ONE game this year even for you fags?

"PORT ST. LUCIE - Anna Benson's worst feature - her mouth - is on display in April's Penthouse magazine.

The wife of ex-Mets pitcher Kris, who will miss the entire season with the Orioles because of a partially torn rotator cuff that resulted in surgery yesterday, has a two-page, profanity-laced interview in the magazine, in which she says of the Mets: "They got a ---- bag of balls for Kris. They didn't get ----. Julio Jorge (sic) and John Maine. They traded a number-one stud pitcher who was 30 at the time, and they blame the red dress....If I were a Mets fan, I'd be beside myself. You look at all the injuries they had with Pedro (Martinez) and beyond, and you know Kris would have taken them to the top last season."

For the record, it's Jorge Julio ... who was traded for Orlando Hernandez ... who has had neck and hamstring problems this spring ... but anyway ... what about Maine?
"

Can someone put a muzzle on this whores mouth?

Pelfrey was officially named the 5th starter.

2 guy over 40. 3 guys under 25. Interesting rotation...

Yeah.. That is more of a than a

I hate the Phillies.

^^^ here is how it will be. These aren't projections, they are facts.

Glavine - 16-9 3.60 ERA
El Duque - 11-8 4.10 ERA --> will only start 25 games
Maine 14-11 4.10 ERA
Perez 18-7 3.35 ERA
Pelfrey 11-9 4.45 ERA
Pedro 7-2 2.98 ERA
other scrubs who will spot start (Park, Sele, etc) 3-6 5.25 ERA

That is 75 wins from starters. Throw in another 20 pen wins and we're golden.

Pujols isn't impressed with the Mets pitching. He isn't impressed at all.

Also, are the Washington Nationals bad... or historically bad? I really think they might challenge the '62 Mets for ineptness..

glad to see us start 3-0 even though every braves fan i know is about to cream their pants after a 2-0 start, should be a good series between us and the bravos this weekend. I'd rather watch on mlb.tv than to hear the biased braves announcers who bore people to sleep for 2 of 3 games

Is this the same Oliver Perez that pitched a CG shutout in September against the Braves? And the same El Duque that pitched 7 innings and gave up 1 ER in his first start? Just asking...

The Mets are the class of the NL again. Frankly, I don't think this year is going to be much closer than last. The Braves lost some offense, Andruw has looked PATHETIC (that will change of course), and I'm still not impressed with fatboy as the closer).

is this the same braves team that was playing the second half of a double-header when perez shut them out?

is this the same braves team that was already 15 games out of the race with 15 games to play when prerez shut them out?

are the braves the cardinals?

oh

just checking
