i still don't know why everyone passes it off as completely unreasonable that maybe he has done everything he wants to do in the nfl and wants to coach his alma mater as a passion project, so to speak. not saying it will happen, but it's certainly not unthinkable. 11/16/2006 11:50:57 AM |

there is a difference between a guy who coaches in the nfl
and a guy who is a super bowl-winning, longest-tenured, most popular amongst his own fan base coach11/16/2006 12:13:17 PM |

I was down in Clemson this past weekend for the football game, and i was talking to a Clemson grad about our football team and coaaching situation...I told him that amato would probably behere next year blah blah blah, and i never mentioned cowhers name, he brought it up and said he thinks he could come here...which doesnt mean shit. but, i just wanted to show that its not only us stupid state fans that are talking about it...... 11/16/2006 12:27:20 PM |

he's not popular among his own fanbase, steelers fans always criticize him and call for his head and shit. up until last year it was always "he can never win the big one".
now it's "he's gotten complacent now that he won the big one and he doesn't care anymore".
it's always something... 11/16/2006 12:33:47 PM |

Our fanbase is patient with coaches it relates to: ie Amato.
Case in point: Amato never had the success herb did yet will definitely be here next year.
Cowher seems to be the scowl at the team, get pissed and yell type so he'd be a perfect for State fans. Regardless of his (lacking) coaching ability. 11/16/2006 1:15:47 PM |

^ I'm pretty sure some yelling, cussing, and a genuine hardass is one thing our team needs. They need to stop acting like a bunch of jackasses and have discipline. Evidently the big banners chuck put saying "discipline" everywhere doesnt exactly get the message across. 11/16/2006 1:20:12 PM |

It. Is. Entirely. Unthinkable.
But I do so love thinking about it.
I hope I'm not disrupting the space-time etc. by thinking about the unthinkable...11/16/2006 1:23:54 PM |
