poor financial decisions? You have no clue of his financial situation. Everyone who buys a lambo must be a idiot! I mean if they can afford it, and you can't, obviously he is doing something better than you.

Lemme guess, maybe you want to council him? Like he would really listen to a broke ass college kid who spends a good portion of his time calling people nigger on the internet

I want to know what the guy does, so maybe he could give me a couple of pointers on how to make/stack some doe

I'm not going to say he's some tool who made a bad investment. He obviously isn't working hard if he's parked infront of cafe houses 24/7!

The owner of the Lambo is in the Bonds business, he has a office in downtown Raleigh.

Carlye is a good guy. He has some money and likes to have nice things. I would have probably gotten a bigger house first, but this guy is on the road a lot, so maybe he doesn't need a 10,000 sq. ft. house.

yea, I saw his badge the other night as a bailbonds man. Always wears a suit!

Carlyle did tell people at the party he worked for the DOD in intelligence and was in Iraq a few months ago.

Just pointing out that majority of wealth a person has is not from inheritance.

I know the graph is for a certain age group (Mr. Lambo is not in that age range obviously, but still)

The greatest tool for building wealth is wealth itself.

It's a lot easier to inherit $2 million and turn it into $10 million than it is to start from scratch and turn it into $8 million.

how does the saying go? 20% of the people own 80% of the wealth? In all honestly, that graph shows the amount of the 60-69 year old couples who inherited money. That doesn't show the amount of 20-40 year olds today who actually inherit the money from the 60+ age group...

Besides, you have to account for the economic situation of their time... WWII and the economic growth of America in the 50's and 60's. When those 60-69's were in their 20's and what not, their parents were coming from the depression era and other economic factors that really struck household wealth. So their % of wealth from inheritance is much lower the our generation.

At least that's what I've deferred from that graph and my useless knowledge from classes...

Back to the thing on appreciation. A car that exoitic doesnt appreciate, but if he bought it used, it doesnt really depreciate either. My friends neighbor (he is by no means rich, my familly is better off than him) owns a 2004 ferrari spider that he got with a trade in from his old ferrari. He sold his ferrari for what he paid for it 10 years ago. Now sure, he lost a little money to inflation, but my point is that those cars dont suffer the brutal depreciation that most cars do.

Dear wolfweb

Half you don't know shit about shit. Seriously. Its hilarious seeing people I know personally on here dole out financial advice. People that at times can't go to a movie because they've overdraft for the fifth time in a week.

Thanks

well lets be modest and say that inflation has been 3% over the last 10years......that's still 34% compounded that was "lost"......where as my parents house has more than doubled in value over the last ten years

i guess if this guy is filthy rich and just prefers not to have the upkeep of a house then that's his choice......but foregoing a house to buy a car is not a smart decision

honestly though, what real "car guy" gives a damn about appreciation/depreciation value of cars. personally, i hope to keep every car that i buy. i don't look at buying cars as an investment. i want to be like jay leno one day, and own one of the most badass collections in the world.

and i still don't understand why y'all are hating on this dude for wanting a lambo more than a huge house. it's his money and his happiness. why the the fuck do you care???

well because it's a lambo......get some damn imagination
i plan on keeping quite a number of my cars as well
but if i ever have the means to purchase a car like that it's not going to be one of the most vanilla(if there is such a thing) of the supercars......i'd rather have something not in jay-z or luda's new video.....hell if you are any kind of "car guy" look into some classics, there are plenty to choose from that will turn just as many heads and not make you seem like a prick

I saw him today, or after he left, he got some coffee and was sitting in the shop.
Funny thing was I saw the car on the way back from the bathroom and was like wow and the kid and we were talking about it, while I am sure the owner was laughing because we were awestruck by his car lol.

I can relate to that...it gets old after a while though.

You would think he would at least spend his time at Starbucks.
