I tried the Shure headphones at Tweeter. I was only impressed with the E500s.

well, anything less than a 500 isn't going to sound as good as a 500 - big fucking surprise there, right?

shure's come with a lot of different earpieces - i wouldn't worry about them falling out. they even have ear-plug crushable foam that expands once you put them in

"So I tried the E2c, E4c and E500PTH and I can honestly say the only one's I like were the E500PTH, but I couldn't justify spending $500 on headphones. However I was interested in the Bose TriPort IE so I picked some up since I could find any to sample.

At first I was a little disappointed in the lows muffling the highs so much, so I decided to play with the iPod EQ. I swear, if you turn on the treble booster on the EQ, the TriPort IE sound just as good as the E500PTH.

I could not be happier with my purchase."

I still stand by the E4's. I've had mine for a long time, and the E3's before then. I recently purchased a pair of the E4's for my girlfriend, although I got her the white so she will look trendy with her ipod.

I've never tried the Bose products. I see them advertised all the time.
