Earl is pretty much the only reason I even come to Sports Talk anymore. If it weren't for him this entire section would just be a "Fire Chuck Circlejerk" with a side of "20+ years ago we were good at basketball"

Stein, I halfway agree with you on this, it would be fun to keep Earl confined to 1 or 2 threads, but he and his analbuddies gay up like half the threads in Sportstalk.

I would be ok with keeping Earl, HC, Randy, etc in one thread exclusively designed for them, like a corral in a larger farm of sports discussion.
