This is my beater car. It is a random project to keep my sane through every day life. Same as the custom rear bumper I am working on, the second sub box for the GTI, the new metal boser project I will be starting.
Isn't everything not directly related to living just a waste of money?

Well, what did you learn on this project? That you could weld? That you could piece together the shit you read about on the internet? There really is nothing innovative you have done here, and generally, you probably didn't learn anything eye opening. Doing shit for the sake of doing it gets real expensive, real quick.11/20/2006 5:56:01 PM |

Since when was the point of this about doing the most innovative setup ever. Daryl has been nothing but modest about the entire process and simply let us follow the progress of everything so we could all enjoy.11/20/2006 6:32:32 PM |

stop being a fucking cunt. have you even attempted anything like that ever? you wouldn't know where to start. he planned it out thoroughly and had a problem with leaking injectors. (this had nothing to do with the turbos or the install).11/20/2006 7:27:06 PM |

See, you're all stupid and fucking blind when you make statements like this. But to answer you: No, I have never looked at a problem, and took the dumbest solution possible to implement it. I'll say it again, there is nothing interesting or praise worthy about this hack job. This is akin to me stripping down my car to bare metal, and painting it with a krylon can and calling it an achievement. Or I'll be more generous and say stripping it down to bare metal, buying some paint guns, and shooting it in some borrowed paint booth somewhere, just to see if I can get to the point where I can say "I painted a car". If he didn't have the room for twins under his hood then he should have went for a single setup and avoided some of the piping. Or hid some of that shit under the car, or any of a number of things not to have a lame rigged up piece of shit.

Why should I be? I grew up around cars. This is a joke to me. It doesn't help me be impressed when someone nearly burns their car down trying to change injectors. You can say they aren't related, but when the common denominator is the same person doing both tasks...well, you do the math. 11/20/2006 9:59:09 PM |

Well, 1st. No room in the engine bay is no room. Regardless of one turbo or two. 2nd. I had all the piping under the car to start with. The 2 inches of ground clearance got old real fast. 3rd. I thought this out. I just decided this was the way to do it. It isn't done, this is a work in progress. You need to find the thread where I go through everything and read it. It is called Maxima Build up. 4th. You ass, leaky injector is not something I can controll. How many times does that need to be said to you?

if you rip enough shit out of that engine bay you can make a turbo fit. 11/21/2006 11:41:29 PM |
Blind Hate Suspended 1878 Posts user info edit post |
And if you can go to the lengths to gut your interior, sit a red hot turbo next to your person, then I think you'll be fine with ripping out AC, relocating battery, remounting factory radiator, etc if you need to. 11/21/2006 11:44:34 PM |

Blind Hate have you been to the origonal thread yet?
relocating the battery/half size radiator and remount/a/c delete and buying new belt all of those cost money.....the point of the project, b/c it isn't his dd, was to be as cheap as possible for a track rat......the interior was going to be gutted anyway
many of his parts he got for next to nothing and the fabing was much cheaper than doing anything you have suggested.......all of us know how to build a car right given the money to do it, don't pretend like you are special 11/22/2006 2:52:48 PM |

Yup, sure did. Said he spent 12-1300 on it. Well over his budget. I don't know if you followed those links or not, but one guy said for 1500-2000 grand he was able to get his all under the hood setup (and I don't know what all that includes, didnt read that far) and that it wasn't too hard.
So please, all the cock riders please keep on swinging. You look like bigger and bigger idiots for being so demonstrative about defending this piece of shit project.11/22/2006 3:34:27 PM |
