we have looked more impressive in previous years, including last year.

but no i dont think we will be last in the acc. once they get used to running up tempo and get comfortable i think there will be some explosiveness.

We've shown dramatic improvement over the first 4 games. Grant's windmill reverse dunk or whatever the hell it was was hot. We got quite a few fast breaks to grant. We still have slight issues with turnovers but overall the team looked very good tonight.

New to State? We only light the bell tower red for ACC or NCAA tourney wins. Been that way forever.

^^ yeah, I'm encouraged but people need to realize this is a young team that will have games like this and then throw up defensive stinkers too. It's fun to watch but I still don't see us higher than 8-9 in the ACC..

Great effort tonight though. I can drink happily (tonight until the suicide that is watching NC State football tomorrow)..

Yeah they are continuing to improve each game, this is the first one that hasn't been somewhat close, we pretty much dominated the whole first half but you could tell the shallow bench and fast break offence was wearing on them, defence started to suffer in the second half because they were getting tired, not going up for rebounds with the same hustle. (of course we were also up 20 pts then)

But how about that reverse windmill dunk by Grant, holy hell........

deleware state is a pretty good team. they are a herb team but they are still pretty good and we played them great. better than the #5 team in the nation did. nobody can say we flat out suck. if brandon can keep ryhtem WATCH OUT.

i really think we will be in the "pack" of the acc. we won't be the 1 or 2 teams that flatout suck and we won't be the typical 3-4 teams in strong contension. we are a good team and will only get better and also add another good guard trover ferguson. DON'T FORGET THAT. we'll be 8 deep.

I honestly didnt expect to ever beat a team by 20 this year. We are sticking to this new system better than I thought.

yeah, the only thing I'm worried about is our depth. If we get in foul trouble or someone gets hurt, we're fucked.

if any of our players get injured we would be better off to forfeit the season ... however lowe's undefeated as a college coach <-- speaks volumes of his coaching ability IMO for the team we got fielded this year

i agree if someone gets hurt we are fucked but the foul trouble thing wont be so bad because there is no 1 guy we need on the floor at all times (atsur will less so be that way when trevor joines)

ok, unreasonable arguement ensues!

that 3 pt shot (i think, wasn't really watching) was as loud as it got all night

and for some reason i re-read what i said and read that the drunks were the best part all night

I don't know but they had a white kid #30 that waved his hands to call for crowd noise and then did the julius hodge frog floor pound after he hit a two pointer. Him and number one in white had more poise and confidence than Bartosz

^yeah that white kid was pretty good too, he kept playing point guard for his team and did all that after driving in on some guys for a nice layup.....

hah its pretty funny this thread had become more about the little kids' halftime game than ours

ya i won't mind losing the way we're playing. but wehn you're losing a game and runnign a 35foot weave for 30 seconds when time is against you kills me.

deleware state ran that stupid shit down like 14 8 minutes to go still running it.

at least we will lose games this year because the other team is just better than us that night.

we looked very good last night in the 1st Half. The 2nd half was ugly/boring. But the guys put on a show in the 1st Half. Fells' dunk late in the game was great.

Actually, we light it for any football or basketball win (men or women), or any ACC or national championship in any sport, as well as several other academic related events.

I'm digging the uptempness. Sid is going to run those guy's balls off. We're probably going to lose a fair amount of games this year, but it also wouldn't surprise me if we go .500 in the ACC either. I liked Sendek as a person (met him a few times - brilliant dude) , but I haven't been this excited about NCSU basketball in several years.

i think the blue team with all the white kids on it had a latino kid on there. looked like he played center. he was on the floor during the first game, before they switched out the players.
