hahaha, if she's pissed about our teams' performances the past four years, it's a good thing she wasn't at state from '96-'00 like me. we made ZERO ncaa tournaments and won ZERO bowl games. heck, the only bowl game we went to was the micron pc bowl in '98 and got our asses whooped by miami.

we beat carolina a total of 1 time in basketball, and none in football during that stretch. we beat duke once in basketball, in the '97 acc tournament, but that was it. y'all had hodge, simmons, and bennerman. i had kenny inge, archie miller, and tim wells.

so she's pissed about her tenure at state, shit, i'm jealous of y'all.

Be very careful here. It's a column, not an article, which is a BIG deal because it is her opinion only.

The viewpoint columns are NOT the opinion of the paper. It was this ONE writer's opinion. The editors have nothing to do with the content of a column. That is completely up to the columnist, who is writing his or her OWN opinion only.

Standing in a sea of high-fiving Carolina fans as we failed to score even one touchdown was the low of my career at this school." Being a true fan means taking the good with the bad. Use your sentiments to fuel change instead of bad mouthing your own school. It's unprofessional and comes off as bitterness and whining. 6) You did not provide any evidence that alumni with season tickets are not coming to the game. The school also uses the money earned from season tickets to pay for atheltic expenses, something they wouldn't get if the students got them for free. You can't have your cake and eat it too. 7) You cite no statistics indicating that UNC receives more money in alumni donations than NC State. Therefore you have no grounds to say that the med school and law school at Chapel hill breed better donors than our Engineering programs. This is simply irresponsible journalism. 8) Jimmie V left amid recruiting scandals that left UNC and Duke unscathed, though it was rumored both of the other school were equally guilty. Transitions from a dark past are not easy, so lets not judge too harshly. For the record Sendek led us out of thjose dark times and we have him to thank in part for our current boost in recruiting. The success of Philip Rivers led to a boost in season tickets and several additions to Carter-Finley. I'd say its fair to conclude the Pack did in fact use his fame to their advantage. What they could not foresee was that Rivers deserved more credit and the coaching staff less. When this became apparent, Amato was fired accordingly. 9) No one is overlooking NC State, nor is anyone satisfied with mediocrity. Changes have been made to help the Pack continue to improve and reasert itself on a national scene. As long as the Pack makes decisions that improve our team's standings then we have no where to go but up. Support changes where necessary, and always back the teams. Your intentions are well met, but I was embarrassed by your lack of journlistic integrity. I am sure you will take more care in writing future articles."

but he was an NBA head coach for 4 seasons. He was promoted when a coach was fired, and retained through the end of the year and for the year after....then he was hired to coach Vancouver or someone shitty even after the flop with the T-wolves. I'm not sure what order the teams came in, but thats the sequence of his head coaching experience.


He didnt have any success in the NBA, but he was the coach of some notoriously horrible teams and was even told by a couple of people that he just simply was not going to win with the personel he had.

Yeah, she's stupid. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the alumni pay-out the remainder of Chuck's contract? Doesn't seem much likea lack of alumni support to me.

Also, if WF has this great law school, then why do they hold their classes at NCSU? I work at the McKimmon Center and they have classes there all the time. I guess that blows her Vet School arguement out of the water as well. Not that any of this has anything to do with sports.

She's outrageous and doesn't know what she's talking about.
