^ The first post in this thread was a joke.

You think Deuce and Bush is a better combo than Turner/Tomlinson? Absolutely not.

Joe Horn isn't an elite receiver anymore. Colston was a SEVENTH round pick. Is it just a coincidence that when Colston went down some dude named Devery Henderson picked up ~160 yards receiving?

Brees is leading that offense, not Marques Colston.

Where is a player of Antonio Gates caliber on SD? Where are T.Owens/T.Glenn?

Dallas is absolutely loaded on offense. San Diego has the best RB (by far) and the best TE (by far) in the game.

Even still the Saints offense is better than either Dallas or San Diego.

So yes of course Brees is better than Rivers right now. Rivers has been struggle city the past couple of weeks.

Brees can throw for 400 yards all he wants, he lost that game against Cincinnati with his picks in the red zone. And thats not the first time this year that he has lost the game with his turnovers.

Rivers hasn't put up the gaudy numbers that Brees has, but at least he hasn't lost games either with stupid throws. He has been more clutch, and led several come-from-behind victories.

Like I said, you can't suck reggie's dick in one thread and then say brees has no weapons.

Brees is like the Cliff Kingsbury on the NFL...lots of yards, decent record, but just not all there...not to mention a 2:1 TD/INT ratio

2nd and 3rd on numbers in a season he has only played a hand full of games
stfu about that mess

also, Rivers can run....i remember seeing him knock over a few defenders in his day
plus, he dont have to run...thats what LT is for

Drew Brees was the QB last year of these same fucking Chargers and they didn't even make the playoffs. Rivers has them 10-2, BEST in the NFL. You spout off so much shit and you don't realize that you kill your own arguments.

They were not the same team at all last year.

1) SD's defense is vastly improved.

2) Gates missed a game because he was unsigned (they missed the playoffs by a point or two)

3) Tomlinson got injured last year and sucked down the stretch

Teams change from year to year.

Rivers is not better than Brees this year. No way. Brees is just having a monster season while Philip is manning the position fairly well

so does anyone still think Romo is better than Brees?

By the end of the season Jessica Simpson will have dumped him and the state of Texas will have turned on him.

This guy is a flash in the pan.

why didn't you say anything about cutler's performance? you know, the guy you think is the 4th best qb in the league and whom this thread is actually about.

ahah i was just thinking that myself

Um i guess you missed this superchevy.

I made this thread while Cutler was sucking balls last week.

And I clearly never said that Brees has no weapons. But if you think Bush/Deuce/Horn/Colston is better than Jones/Barber/Owens/Glenn or Tomlinson/Turner/Gates/McCardell then you are flat out incorrect.

I like what Bush can do. I like what Deuce can do. Horn isn't a prolific WR anymore and Colston is a solid WR thats numbers are a reflection of how great Brees has been.

Jones/Barber is a pretty good RB combo. Owens is one of the elite WR's in the game (slowed by his thumb injury obviously this year) and Glenn is a terrific #2. Also, Romo hasnt played as well as Brees has by any stretch of the imagination. Everyone's opinion is skewed because he padded stats against the worst team in the NFL on thanksgiving.

Tomlinson is the best RB in the game. He's possibly the best RB ever. Gates is the best TE in the game. Turner is pretty fucking solid when he's healthy and McCardell is a solid #2 WR (since Gates essentially is their #1).

Rivers is having a great year considering its his first year as a starter. But lets not get carried away. His performances sans last night and the Cincy game have been somewhat pedestrian for quite some time now.

So before you compare two rookies (bush & colston), a solid RB (mcallister), and a WR on his last legs (Horn) to some of the elite players in the NFL you might want to check your thought process.
