Yeah the monkeys are boring unless they are throwing their shit at each other. What happened to the water hole? I bet some good shit goes down at the water hole during the day.

Unfortunately, the guy in charge of this cam doesn't sit there all the time..

You see him drive off sometimes.. His house is to the left of the water hole.

Looks like he's messing with it, back to the waterhole. Looks like a few antelope? I don't know my African animals..

I think that baby monkey just ate his own shit....

south africa cam.

I am watching right now.

nothing to report.

Basically it looked like a hyena that was sniffing the ground, scavenging for food.

there for about two minutes, the bounced.

cool.. some of those were not free roaming I assume?

I don't like the ones that let you get so close.

Where I went, most of the animals were territorial. We had the 1 rhino on the preserve charge our truck. It amazes me that the warthogs were that close to your rooms because those things are MEAN (if they can see you).

And how close were you to the Cape Buffalo? you know they are nicknamed "Black Death" for a reason...

All of them were free roaming. As long as you stayed in your vehicle and didn't aggravate them, they'd leave you alone.

With the lions, for example, they don't hang out on the road unless they've already had their fill of whatever kill they got, so they seem pretty docile.

But there are dumbasses who think they're tame and get out and try to pet them or get a picture with them, and of course the lions will kill them. The sad thing is that the park officials have to then track down the lion and kill it because once it gets a taste for human flesh, then they will actively go after people. Otherwise, they just stick to game.

We got within a few feet of most everything except for the leopard. The lion, buffalo, rhino, elephant, etc. were all seen right by the road.

According to some of the other locals who were at the campsite, we hit the jackpot. one guy had been coming to kruger for years, and still had not seen a leopard, and had only seen many of the other animals a handful of times. They tend to stay away from where people are if possible.

We got extremely lucky and saw an aardvark. I know its nothing special like a leopard, but they are very rare nocturnal animals. Got him on film with my night vision camera

Did see a leopard.. it was dead tho

They elephants weren't there long, they just strolled by the water hole. The camera guy had a hard time keeping up with them. I must say, you SUCK as a cameraman if you can't keep up with a GD heard of elephants!
