Good call on Death From Above 1979. I forget how good that record is when it's not in rotation.

Also: Hot Snakes, Suicide Invoice or Audit in Progress. Dismemberment Plan, Change. Mark Kozelek, What's Next to the Moon. Maybe Thunderbirds Are Now!, Doctor Lawyer Indian Chief.

The funny thing is that they never make a contribution to the thread, which suggests to me that they don't even have an album they like. It's never "WHO THE FUCK ARE THESE BANDS? COLDPLAY IS AWESOME!" It's always "WHO CARES ABOUT THESE OBSCUROGROUPS? What's music?"

My taste in music has changed a LOT over the past 5 years, so I don't think I can make a choice regarding my favorite album in the past five years. I'd have a hard time picking out my favorite album of the past few months.

I'd include more, but repeating others' seems unnecessary.

The Hives- Tyrannosaurus Hives

That's the one I listen to the most still, at least. Maybe "White Blood Cells" from the White Stripes, too.

Other than that, I have no idea.

Thinking about White Blood Cells makes me miss trips to Crooked Beat.
