b/c Steve smith lines up outside on the line of scrimage, LT is in the back field with a whole lot of junk going on in front of him. IF you try to double team LT and he doesn't get the ball you have lost two of your possible pass coverage personel


It's an excellent idea if you can say 100% that LT is going to get the ball.

When you double team Steve Smith you have lost people out of pass coverage, but your run responsibilities aren't hurt all that much by using a safety in pass coverage
