i know it's not an album per se, but i think that the bowerbirds ep that came out last year was one of my favorite releases of 2006.

that black sheep record kicks ass. The choice is yours was great (you can get with this / you can get with that) and it was a pretty big hit.

I used to love that when I was a kid - is that the one with the 'fuck you' choral arrangement at the end?

^^^He was born and raised in Charlotte so I would say it should count

if you went by your criteria then almost every actor/actress would be "from california or new york"

"Staple NC Albums" would be albums from bands that live and work in NC.

at least thats the case for all the other albums listed.

i guess since they arent from NC this wont count, but Taking Back Sunday somewhat put NC on the map since the lead singer is from High Point.

I have been racking my brain with this haha, but at least my mind is occupied over the break

forgot This Runs Through. The kids were from greensboro, but moved to FL as a band. Loved that EP back in the day.

And if we're stretching things like some people are doing...Underoath has strong NC ties too. the real underoath that is.

that is really retarded.

there are far more famous musicians from even high point. like the american idol winner from a couple years back.
