Who's gonna remember that Wisconsin beat Arkansas in the Whatever Bowl or that Penn State beat some SEC school in a game played in December? This is essentially the second year in a row that the media gushed all over one team, gave furtive, "this-fulfills-the-requirement-to-mention-the-opponent" reviews for their opponent... just for that team to lose. And not only that, but Flordia KILLED tOSU in the National Championship game.

wasn't going for that, I'm simply pointing out how people not associated with a school in a smaller bowl can and will forget details of the game. neither wisconsin nor arkansas mean anything to me and I already forgot what game they played in.

But no, the SEC is not better than the Big Ten. The Best team in the SEC is better than the best team in the Big Ten, but that doesn't make the SEC better than the big Ten.

the sec is not proven to be better than the big ten... they went 1-2 against the big ten in bowl games

michigan didnt lose to an sec team either????? so how are they discredited in this?
they even beat vandy in the first game of the season... and i dont care how bad vandy is, but its just another big ten win over the sec

The Big 10 sent their 3rd and 4th best teams against the SEC's 4th and 5th best teams and won by a combined 13 points.

Flordia beat the all-season-agreed-upon BEST TEAM by double that.

Kirk Herbstreit has 2 SEC teams in his top 2 for next year with 1) Florida 2) LSU.

You cannot sit there and tell me that LSU wouldn't have just as easily beaten OSU last night. LSU is every bit as good and talented as Florida. PSU beat UT because that was a win one for the gipper since Joe Pa broke his leg. Wisconsin got to play Arkansas who really isn't that good, you think Wiscy could beat LSU?

I just hope Perriloux/Flynn/whoever is THAT good. Replacing JaMarcus will be hard, but whoever plays QB is gonna inherit a loaded backfield and some solid wide receivers, not to mention an always-tenacious defense.
