again...need to be more specific
alot of restaurants will have entrees around a certain range..say 18-30..and then will have one "flagship" entree thats like $55
but their average entree price is still like 28. 1/12/2007 7:24:50 PM |

The best isn't even mentioned and it's quite expensive as well. With two people at Magnolia Grill it's can be around $250 if you drink before and during dinner.
The only restaurant with James Beard award chefs is Magnolia Grill and by far it's my second favorite restaurant. It was also recognized as the 11th best restaurant in the country.
Note you won't see Angus Barn and other over rated restaurants where you pay $40 for just a steak.

oh, and Kobe beef? Not that great. People here don't understand why Americans have a hard on for it right now. If you want to impress your highfalutin friends and neighbors, tell them in Japan it's called Hyogo beef, not Kobe beef. My coworkers think Kobe beef is funny sounding.

sullivans has entree's from like 19 to 55 dollars plus they have live main lobsters from 66 dollars to 132 dollars for a 3 to a 6 lb lobster. Also is ala carte so sides are added in price.
JK's lost their chef last june and is still suffering from that and is not as good while they will have a few more rare items on their menu.
Prime Only is no better than sullivan's if not worse. They have had health problem within a week after opening downtown.
If you want to go to cary Ruth's Chris is great for a steakhouse. They have large portions and a very similar menu to Sullivan's.
Angus Barn is over rated. They get more business because they are one of the oldest restaurants here than anything else.
Nelson's is suffering for business so they have started to use less quality ingredients. 1/15/2007 11:58:33 AM |
