At least make some of these downloadable if you're not going to release it for the 360, cause I'd love to have a lot of these songs.

^^awesome, I cant wait for it to come out. I am kinda disappointed that Radar Love is the white lion version...I would prefer the golden earring version.

So rumor is that this game was shipped and is in retailer's hands today, but the official street date is next Tuesday. That said, if anyone sees the street date being broken and store selling it today could they post it on here? I can't wait to play this!

Okay I am too lazy to see if this would work myself, but the PS2 does have a USB port, right?

Would the 360 guitar work in the PS2?

Man I'd really love to have this, but as stated before, not releasing it for the 360 = lost money, myself included.

i enjoy that song as a guilty pleasure but as a guitarist i have to say there is not even one riff in that entire song that even comes REMOTELY close to shredding anything. i said the same thing as saps when i saw that on the list.

im not that excited about the song list, but oingo boingo =

hmm, 100 million PS2's not enough for them I guess

besides, the 360 owners are stupid enough to pay 2 bucks a song on marketplace anyway

This whole time I just assumed there would be a last minute announcement that the game would be available as downloadable content for the 360. I can't believe this isn't the case. I wonder how long (or at this point if if at all) it will take for them to make this available to the 360 users.

it will slowly become downloadable within 2-3 months

they will probably wait to see sales of the game to see if it's worth it

Looks like it's $40 at Best Buy and $50 elsewhere.

Anyone found it early?

For those that are wondering, they aren't doing the free $15 gift card thing in store, only on the webpage. So to get it you need to go to bestbuy.com, order the game and make sure you put the $15 GC in your cart. Select the in store pickup for the game and have your free GC mailed to you.

you can prolly do instore for the card too, thats what i've done with the free points card with xbox...then returned the game. might do this with the GH deal

nah, it said instore delivery wasn't available for the card. I tried.

cause I needed to buy a guitar for the PS2 since I didn't already have one. Damn me and my inability to wait for the 360 version. The only reason I even bought a PS2 in the first place was because I couldn't wait for the Xbox version of San Andreas.

Almost finished it on Easy. Not sure why I started there, but why not.

I expect to unlock something for beating it on Easy and five-starring everything.

i finally broke down and got GH, what a deal too, used red gibson for $20 and GH for $40, cheaper than the package deal ever was. Very fun game, but I'm gonna wait for GH3 and maybe if the 80s gets real cheap i'd consider it

^That's where I was about a month and a half ago. You'd be surprised how quickly you pick up the orange fret button. When you go back to medium you're like "whooooooa I don't remember being this bad at the game"

"Play With Me" is kinda hard.

I beat all the other songs on Hard the first time through though. This game is like GH2 lite when it comes to difficulty.

^yes it is...failed out at 90% complete on first try, 95% on second...passed on third attempt, but only 71% of notes hit...but it is a badder asser song

i will never beat that song on expert...may as well be "Jordan" for all I'm concerned

i think the difficulty scales a lot better with song sets (a la GH 1)

I guess since GH:80s retails for $50 I made the small leap that you were talking about the guitar, which was much closer in price to that which you mentioned. Maybe you meant $40 with a $15 best buy gift card, but that's not exactly the same as cash unless you shop there a lot, which I don't.

Got it last night. I'm doing the same thing I did for Guitar Hero I and II: I start at medium and play it through.

I can't stomach easy. It's just so boring. Medium is boring me a hell of a lot right now, but oh well. Gotta unlock the stuff that's available.
