i do agree it'd be kinda dumb to ticket the people that helped, what's the difference in them or a tow truck going back there? if a tow truck could even get back there and do anything, it'd probably tear up even more being 2wd and spinning. no company i know of around here has anything equipped for off road recovery.

well, colter was initially pissed off by certain comments in this thread, however he has calmed down now. I doubt there will be any tickets, but if there are, I'll just do the right thing and pay it. HOA's don't care if you were trying to help out or not. they exist simply to make peoples lives difficult.

Also, the angle of the hill, and wetness of the grass would have made it very difficult to get a tow truck in there. so probably the way they did it was the best way and incurred the least damage to the property.

I don't disagree that its not his property to be tearing up. I was merely pointing to the fact that Maxima, in his mighty position as secretary of the HOA, really shouldn't be worried about writing plates of those who were helping to get the OP's truck out. Not that I know he was, he kind of alluded to it though.

I wasn't saying that just because the area looks like shit that it should be an invitation to try some incredibly hardcore wheelin. Just that the HOA should be more worried about the rest of the dump that is U Woods. So he owns one or two units over here. So do I... that doesn't mean I'm out there writing down plates or calling the police everytime there's a party on the balcony (not that he does that).

My issues with U Woods may have clouded the matter at hand.

To add to this, why do people think its cool to park their truck on that mound of grass?

i knew MaximaDrvr wasn't trying to be a dick. however, wheeling back there is downright dumb. no offense to anyone. if you wanna go wheeling come to uwharrie or tellico when we go. you'll have fun and be challenged and it's legal. i was fine with pulling him out and i do doubt that a tow truck would have had much success if it was by itself, even if it had 4wd.

anyways, glad we could get you out, no harm, no foul, but i would advise finding other places to go wheelin. i used to go wheelin wherever but had learned my lesson(s) i'll let everyone know when we're going wheeling camping so you're all invited

once i get this vette back together and the motor pulled from my duster, i plan on giving it a little TLC. get some patches welded in the flintstone floorplans, new motor mounts, and put the seats in from matt's wrangler.

i can't decide if i want to ditch those running boards and the bug guard, i kinda like them in a super tacky kind of way.
