i think that Bobby will either be arrested/flip/commit suicide and Janice will blame Tony. She is Tony's bane. She will be his downfall.

I think Bobby did what he had to do and that part is over

Good luck getting his piece of shirt to hold up in court...when its found in a laundry room that has tons of different peoples' clothes in it anyway

I dont think he will be caught for that murder, but if he was i am sure that he sweat on it seeing as how hye is a big man. Surely he left DNA on the shirt, which they did mention in the episode.

but how many different peoples' hairs or dna or clothes/garments are in a laundry room like that? surely dozens (reasonable doubt)

yeah but the dead guy is holding a piece with bobby B's dna all over it. And he is a known mafia associate and wtf is he doing in Canada. Also forgot to mention that his fingerprints are on that gun. Not enough doubt to amount to reasonable.

^^bobby was wearing rubber gloves. you can see them as he runs walks off

the way he threw down the weapon kinda reminds me of the godfather scene where Micahel kills that cop in the restaraunt. i don't know why in the world he would have left the gun at the scene like that....what was the reason for it in the godfather, that it was an untraceable piece?

don't want to be caught with a gun that has been used in a murder

i'm thinking that's why he got rid of it

must be untraceable

I didnt see the gloves, but yeah usually they do leave the gun at the scene. Which in itself is weird because the local pd would just run the prints through the fbi database which has a bunch of local prints in it. I am just gonna go out on a limb and say that 99% of Soprano associates have been arrested and fingerprinted before.

Tony hung up on Christopher because he called to wish him happy birthday right when he was in the worst of his bad mood...brooding at the lake about dying and how old he was getting.

He was contemplating why he lost to Bobby and then Chris called to wish him happy birthday.

Good episode I think. Great way to open things up and set the tone.

Bobby is definitely going to get arrested or flip though. Too much DNA forshadowing and he clearly left some evidence at the scene (shirt and gun).

^^ we already talked about how there are no fingerprints, but i can see DNA coming in about the shirt.

^ I dont think the mideast dudes will be connected to tony unless Chris flips, and he already had his chance to flip.

yeah bobby was a virgin in the terms of killing someone. he probably did make a mistake and leave some evidence behind that could get back to him

so what do yall think is more traumatic for Bobby:

- finally FINALLY having to kill someone, after going what, 40 something years without ever having to do it...when his father was a cold blooded killer who never wanted that life for his son...having to deal with all that shit this late into life, essentially just so your boss can get a discount on some pills

or

- being married to that nagging manipulative Janice

also, i think a Mario Puzo ending would be uncanny -- one where Meadow dies on an attempted hit on Tony.

this is the final season after all.

Yeah I don't think that was his first time. Something tells me they expect you to know you can't get that high in the organization without having to do a little dirty work first.

bobby isn't though, he's a soldier not a capo. if you don't remember janice has been bitching at tony about why bobby is not a captain yet.

Did anyone think of the monopoly house that Carm flicked off Tonys cheek to symbolize a "bloody house" in the future (family members starting to kill each other). All this time the Sopranos family has been worried about external threats, be interesting if an internal one brought them down.

and yes, I almost heard Joe Pesci's voice saying "How am I different"

I wonder how much Parker Borthers paid to have monopoly featured in the episode.

Some good quotes:

"Can you really not be aware we've been building a RICO case against Tony Soprano for 5 fucking years? And then you blow this popcorn fart?"

and what Tony said about a shaved German Shepard must have won the first prize in teh beauty contest

"No bows and arrows now"

Bobby probably wont get pinched for this murder. He was wearing gloves, and you always drop the gun on a hit... there is no way they can trace that. His DNA may very well be there. BUT he will never be a suspect in this case, unless those arabs rat on him. its not like they have a DNA bank to test everyone in both US and Canada.

I hate Janice as much as the next man, but in this episode she seemed a lot more mellow and less bitchy. Also I knew Tony couldnt resist the 2nd place in the beauty contest joke. I mean this is Tony Soprano we're talking about here.

not to parrot sports guy

but i think carm will end up sacrificing tony for her own self interest (physically or legally)

the entire series they build up the house of cards that "family and loyalty is everything" but look what happens to those that really stick to that

christopher alluded to it with the real estate agent at the diner last year, but it's popped up all series

The only people that stared out at the lake were the ones who had killed someone.

Bobby only stared out at the lake after he killed that guy
