That winning % isn't misleading like he said either. The Big East, before the realignment, was every bit as strong of a football conference. Miami, VT, WVU, Pitt, and Syracuse were all very strong teams during O'Briens tenure. Only 1 year when BC was in it did it flat out suck (the last year after Miami/VT had left)..

Because Amato came in with the cupboard full. We had an incoming QB who will probably end up in the HOF that he didn't even recruit, and he has not proven that he knows how to coach an offense without him.

Even if we don't leave Phil out, this proves that Amato has actually REGRESSED as a coach, if you compare his first 4 and his last 4 years.

I think a much better judge of where the program is going is looking at the past few seasons, not the ones from way back when.
