from what I've read, TWC and MASN haven't reached a deal yet because Time Warner wants to put the two channels on their digital tier, and MASN wants it on extended basic cable (analog)

Unless you live in an apartment where a satellite would be out of the question, I would seriously reccomend DirecTV. So many great sports channels are included with the basic package.

^^ this fight seems a bit more reasonable.. I think TWC wanted espnu and such on free digital tier, and espn wanted it on the subscription tier.. or something of that nature.. MASN wants to eat up 2 channels worth of what little spectrum TWC has for analog... I hope they get it on the lineup somehow..

that link talked about the dispute between MASN and TWC in the triangle, and how the Carolina Hurricanes may play a role with MASN showing up on the lineup. The Hurricanes contract with FSN expires next year and if they choose MASN, then TWC may be more obligated to offer the channel in their NC markets.

And if you remember last year and in years past, FSN didn't play all of the O's games, but only games here and there. This new MASN shows every Orioles game and some Nationals games as well

last time the O's were good, they had a nasty bullpen built around terry mathews, jesse orosco, armando benetiz and randy myers, circa 1997. looks like this pen is nasty too, hopefully the starting pitching holds up and doesnt wear them down too much
