yeah.. i can't believe he didn't get a card.. it was so blatant.. not even within the play of the game.. i bet that warrants him a suspension for the next game or something

Great assist by the referee on the goal.

Good assist by Donovan and good run to get the second goal.

We have to create more chances offensively though.

Copa America draw next week!

what do ya'll think we should do about coach? I say go ahead and promote Bradley and let him go with it.. it definitely doesn't need to drag on any longer.

^^^^ I think Gulati will get someone else.

Bradley was put into a hard situation, he took it like a good soldier, and he's making a good case for himself. But I think Gulati already has someone in line, and I don't think Bradley's performance will change that.

He's purposely saying no one. What he did wrong with Klinsmann was that he publicly stated he wanted Klinsmann. Klinsmann then pretty much asked for the moon (like, controlling all sponsorships of the USA national team, stuff that doesn't even concern coaching), which is something Gulati is right to decline. The thing was, he focused entirely on Klinsmann and had no backup plan, or if he did have a backup plan, it was Bob Bradley on an interim 6-month assignment, not an ideal situation by any means.

There's a couple rumors out there, Quieroz and Hiddink (a mercenary, he won't come anyway).

that last corner kick before half, there were Beers uh Cervezas raining down on the US player waiting to take the corner. They weren't hitting him but were landing about 6 feet in front. That was crazy to see. i was wtf, where is this game? waht? arizona?

the team played pretty good last night. all you need is 1 goal and they got it. landycakes goal was unfortunate for mexico that it hit off the referee but atleast donovan actually did something.

i'd love to see this team with beasley, onyewu, and the couple other players missing...

overall, i'll take the win

Damnit, how did I not know about this...well sounds like we got a win in a tough game. Twellman reminds me of Brad from Home Improvement, anyone remember when he was trying to play college soccer on the show? haha

I loved the post-game comments in which every Mexican player was essentially like, "well, we were still the better team" or making excuses like "we didn't get time to practice together" when they brought an A side and got spanked by a B+ US side. They say this same shit every game. Kudos to Donovan for calling them out about being totally classless, walking off the field without shaking hands after the game and pulling shit like they did on Eddie Johnson during the game. Just keep telling yourselves that dumbasses, stay in denial and the US domiance will continue.

So I live in Mexico, and they weren't happy with the game to say the least, cussed at twice, and in the morning meeting given a lecture on how bad the americans had played, and how we are horrible at soccer, I just said 2-0, nice work Hugo

^ whoa, not in Keller's prime.

Anyways, I think I'm going to like watching this team play in the next couple of years. But, we need a legit goal-scorer.. bad.

^ Yeah.

USA Soccer.

Excellent goalkeeping.
Solid defending.
An okay midfield.
The forwards suck.

howard isnt as good as keller was in his prime, but the gap isnt far, howard easily has the athleticism but lacks fundamentals, if he ever gets the fundamentals down to kellers level then watch out, he could easily be one of the greatest keepers in the world.

Thankfully GK is never a position the US has had to worry about for many years now, but its the damn Striker position....i thought eddie johnson might be the real deal a couple years ago in his start, but he hasnt done jack lately...once we find a striker who is fearless, good on the ball, and can finish, then we will have a chance at actually winning a world cup...until then, we will be just outside greatness

Shit, all I want from a forward is one who isn't a) a pussy (see Wolff/Donovan) and b) lazy as hell (see Eddie Johnson) and c) slow

Run your ass off, get in the mix, and beat people to the ball and you'll score some goals

I like the pinstripes. It's original for soccer jerseys I believe.
