Textiles is one of the programs we have here to be seriously proud of.

Doesn't matter. Apparently has never had to work on a multi-disciplinary team. Either that or enjoys spending countless hours trolling. Either scenario is kinda sad.
My recommendation would be to post a couple of flyers around campus and offer a small bit of money (or something) for their trouble that particular day. There are plenty of people out there who want to add something to their portfolio ... even if its something small.1/22/2007 7:25:19 AM |

Bakunin you need to stop trolling
you have nothing to add to this thread and the fact that you are going out of you way to troll a thread in the lounge makes you a faggot
keep it up so i can suspend you, thanks 1/22/2007 9:46:08 AM |

the other girl whose wearing the other dress emailed her friend so I'm waiting to hear back
and offer money? I don't have any money especially buying the fabric for this. I'm going to be printing more than half my fabrics and sometimes they can be between $5-$10 a yard. I'm making 7 dresses...thats going to be about $40 a dress at least 1/22/2007 10:55:39 AM |

I saw some of last years show and enjoyed it. I was really impressed by the quality of the designs. 1/23/2007 12:28:41 PM |

i'd think it'd be quite obvious that not every degree in COT takes the same courses, or types of courses. there would be no need for different degrees then, they could just have a TEXTILES degree, and leave it at that.
and the reason they seem to be making dresses more is because this thread is about a design class/project
damn, wtf is this "Fashion Development and Product Management" major I'm seeing online? when'd they start that? i mean, it sounds like it'd be a product design (heavier on design than engineering) degree, but it sounds a little too much like "fashion design" for me (which i thought was only at Meredith).1/24/2007 11:59:51 PM |

the just started it last semester and it basically is fashion design but there was a ton of talks about it not being called fashion design because of the college of design
it's going to take quite a few years and a lot more teachers to make it to the "fashion design" level that they want it to go
