Oh, and it's really not bad to stay on Freemont! You can get some great rates, and pay $5 for a 24hour pass to ride the Deuce bus back and forth to the strip. The only thing you lose is a little bit of time riding back and forth. 3/27/2007 7:06:14 PM |

I just got back. Stayed at imperial palace, which is a shithole. For what you pay its not that bad but all in all tis a shithole. This might be the greatest town on earth. bring $texas, and try not to sleep. I went for about 48 hours and it was nuts. You are so ready to leave, but as soon as you get home you want to go back. 3/27/2007 7:37:08 PM |

i just came back from vegas. I finally stayed at MGM and got free upgrade to bungalow suite. I really recommend here for both casino and hotel. Nice staff & service. I got free two buffets , freel slot play and etc. For the flight, US airway has direct flight from RDU - LAS.
Thx to krazedgirl for helpful info 3/28/2007 10:45:53 PM |

I'd say mgm. I've heard all of those listed except monte carlo are kind of crappy. I stayed at mgm last time I went and I liked it. 4/28/2007 12:10:08 AM |

I've stayed at MGM and NY-NY both of them are really nice (probably b/c its the same company). The other hotels are alright but not near as nice as these. I'd go with MGM first then NY-NY second. You won't be disappointed I promise. Tropicana is old but the cool part about it is the blackjack tables in the pool. Check out http://www.cheapovegas.com for good things to do. 4/28/2007 2:53:09 PM |

Some bad-ass restaurants that I've been to:
Delmonico (Venetian) Red Door (Mandalay Bay) Spago (Caesars Palace) Isla (Treasure Island) Japonais (Mirage)
Also, if you don't mind eating at one of the restaurants open to the casino (a bit noisy), FIX at Bellagio and Wolfgang Puck's Bar & Grill at MGM Grande are both awesome.
Beware, you pay for the atmosphere and then some. At any of the above, it's not unusual to pay around $100/person after drinks, tip, tax, etc. I made the mistake of drinking $6.00 bud lights this past week so eye alcohol prices like a hawk. 5/5/2007 1:57:05 PM |

^I'll be in Vegas as well this weekend. Can I crash your reservations? just kidding, i do have plenty of coupons for various 2 for 1 buffets, so I'll search around for the hot spots. 5/21/2007 11:08:19 AM |

There are two really good restuarants I have enjoyed in Vegas. I dont remember their names but one is in the Rio, its an upscale steakhouse. The other was in the 4 Queens which is Downtown. It was on the bottom floor, you cant miss it because its the only restuarant in the 4 Queens. 5/21/2007 1:24:46 PM |

I had a pretty awesome trip as well. Booked a room at Excalibur for 20 bucks (Orbitz price mistake back in Sept) and had it upgraded to a corner tower jacuzzi suite for free. Speed the ride is quite a thrill at the Sahara... electromagnetic acceleration. The stratosphere at night is also quite an awesome view of the city, not to mention the rides on top of it 5/30/2007 9:38:54 AM |
